Maze Runner Kindle Novels & Stories

It was 10.24 p.m. If I wanted to continue the race, I had to resolve everything and complete registration within an hour and a half. Contacting the organizer, waiting for the website to be fixed, producing proof that Jasper had stolen my data, reclaiming my justice—all of it took time. However, the race wouldn’t wait for me. Taking a deep breath, I sat down in the driver’s seat and started the engine. Time was tight. Right now, all I could do was gamble on one possibility, which was that Jasper hadn’t been able to completely steal my final product.

Heart thundering against my chest as I did. Right now, he’s in my fucking head. A place I never wanted him to be. At least not now. The booming sound of thunder cracks through the sky, making the earth rumble beneath my trembling skin. Shaking, I pick myself up from the ground, half-expecting lightning to zap me with its where I stood right before a growl tears through the forest again. I swear my heart was ready to combust. A fast movement under the shadows caught my attention fully. I squint my eyes, trying to keep my gaze as focused as necessary on that movement. Whatever caused it was obviously an expert in controlling his speed.

Though, for me, it got worse, before it got better. I hope to meet you again in the second sequel of The Journey From Ashes, titled; A Hope Which Springs From Chaos. Turn the pages to read the blurb. Life can be beautiful or destructive if you wish for it. So, wish for good.

“All of us have to earn our places. No shortcuts.” “But…” I blinked. “Do I have to do the empathy maze? Because I’m very empathetic, I think. Like, yesterday I cried watching a pigeon limp across the courtyard.” Dee chuckled. “Then you’ll do just fine. But yes, empathy maze, obstacle course, and a magical background scan.” My mind spun. “What does the scan do? Will it detect fallen angel energy? Will it break the machine? What if I accidentally explode something?” “Then,” Riven said dryly, “you’ll look very impressive.”

Music played through concealed outdoor speakers. The ranch ran horseback riding and hayrides, and they’d built a small prediction maze. That last one was a shifter only event. Humans no longer created them. It was a hay bale maze when contestants all start at the beginning and search for the end. When someone finds a dead end, it’s over for them and there is some at the dead end that will predict the coming year for them. It could be good or bad, but in this era, it was more for fun than predicting anything.

And of course, after the fighters were narrowed down into two, Zaeion managed to take the crown of victory and left the place with his friends and his victorious smile. AFTER Zaeion's victory, the fourth game the group chose was a competition played by two people. It was a magical maze where they have to be the fastest to achieve victory yet they also have to be knowledgeable enough to pass each path of the maze. This time, Harriel chose to participate as when it comes to speed, he strongly believed that no one could outdo him.

I land deftly, charging towards him who missiles through a wall to fall through to the other side. I give him no chance to recuperate in the slightest, already shoving him across the floor and charging after him. Large chunks of debris obstruct my path and project toward me out of nowhere. I smash through them and see the Elf is waiting for me. My paws detach from the floor roughly and my body darts to the right, slamming against the wall there. “If you don’t hurry up, your friends in that maze will die! Haha!”

“What is it?” She looked at him. “A maze.” Kai groaned loudly. “Of course it is.” The wall suddenly split open. A dark corridor stretched ahead. Covered in rust. Dripping water. Low whispers echoed from inside. Tess grabbed Lena. “I don’t want to go.” Lena looked at her. “We don’t have a choice.” The white screen flashed above them. COMPLETE THE MAZE OR REMAIN BURIED Noah looked offended. “That feels unnecessarily aggressive.”

Instead, a tall maze of steel and vines stood at the center, stretching into the trees beyond. A trial of instinct and survival. The rules were simple. Find your way out before sundown. No weapons. No help. The catch? You weren’t alone in the maze. Mara touched my arm before I stepped forward. “This isn’t about speed. It’s about endurance.” I nodded, tightening my ponytail. “I’ve got both.” She smiled. “Then go show them what a rogue can do.” I entered the maze last. The second I stepped in, the shadows swallowed everything. The air was thicker here, laced with magic or memory—I couldn’t tell.

They want to hunt, their prize me. The tunnel comes to an end faster than I remember and just as planned, Caden and I break off from each other. I head into the direction of the center of the forest where the traps we will use to our advantage awaits. I can hear them behind me, their undeniable scent of mud and grass the marking of a Rager. They are drawing close, planning how to capture me and in this moment I realize just how many Ragers there are hunting me. I can feel my heart pounding as six distinctive howls sound and an emotion I have not felt in a long time settles into the pit of my stomach.
