The woman shrieks, but I back away and Lance looks at her through swollen eyes, “They have to think I fought,” he says, groaning in pain. I watch as she reaches down, grabbing his hand quickly before she turns away. We quickly leave the camp, and I look at her, realizing I have seen her before; she is from Mia’s pack.
