Fake it Till You Love Me
She almost squealed, handing me one of the glass cups.
The sky let out another soft rumble and lightning for the third time, indicating it might rain soon. Still it didn't bother me to hurry up and get going. I didn't budge; I shamelessly let myself feel at home, taking huge gulps from the cup of juice, helping myself with fries after fries.
“Yeah. Yeah. See.” I raised one of the fries. “Told you it would turn out well.” I stared at the bowl of fries that had different colors ranging from its normal colour, to brown, to burnt, to burnt black. Even so, I was proud of myself.
