I land deftly, charging towards him who missiles through a wall to fall through to the other side. I give him no chance to recuperate in the slightest, already shoving him across the floor and charging after him. Large chunks of debris obstruct my path and project toward me out of nowhere. I smash through them and see the Elf is waiting for me. My paws detach from the floor roughly and my body darts to the right, slamming against the wall there. “If you don’t hurry up, your friends in that maze will die! Haha!”

“What is it?” She looked at him. “A maze.” Kai groaned loudly. “Of course it is.” The wall suddenly split open. A dark corridor stretched ahead. Covered in rust. Dripping water. Low whispers echoed from inside. Tess grabbed Lena. “I don’t want to go.” Lena looked at her. “We don’t have a choice.” The white screen flashed above them. COMPLETE THE MAZE OR REMAIN BURIED Noah looked offended. “That feels unnecessarily aggressive.”

Instead, a tall maze of steel and vines stood at the center, stretching into the trees beyond. A trial of instinct and survival. The rules were simple. Find your way out before sundown. No weapons. No help. The catch? You weren’t alone in the maze. Mara touched my arm before I stepped forward. “This isn’t about speed. It’s about endurance.” I nodded, tightening my ponytail. “I’ve got both.” She smiled. “Then go show them what a rogue can do.” I entered the maze last. The second I stepped in, the shadows swallowed everything. The air was thicker here, laced with magic or memory—I couldn’t tell.

They want to hunt, their prize me. The tunnel comes to an end faster than I remember and just as planned, Caden and I break off from each other. I head into the direction of the center of the forest where the traps we will use to our advantage awaits. I can hear them behind me, their undeniable scent of mud and grass the marking of a Rager. They are drawing close, planning how to capture me and in this moment I realize just how many Ragers there are hunting me. There are water bottles all over the maze, so you don’t have to worry about being dehydrated. I’ll give you a twenty-minute head start because I am a very fast runner, and I will catch you if it’s less than that. All you need to focus on is getting to the end of the maze.” I agreed. I stood there to catch a deep breath and to decipher whether it was a good idea to play games with a monster, but I ultimately decided it was worth a shot. What was the worst that could happen anyway?

I looked around to see Sam look at his cousin in horror and then shift and run. "Hell no" I growled and shifted to follow him. As I ran, I spotted Carla getting cornered by two hunters. In a blind rage and ran at them and literally tore through them as I passed. I paused then to check on the others. Lee and Devon were taking down a couple of warriors and I spotted Dean and James working on a few hunters. They were all winning but then I heard an howl that sent ice through my veins.

A second later, a sniper fell over the railing, his rifle clattering to the floor. ‎ ‎"How are you doing that?" Vexa gasped, reloading. ‎ ‎"I can see them," I breathed, the magic humming in my blood. "I can see the paths." ‎ ‎"Keep seeing them!" Kaelen roared. "Move!" ‎ ‎We broke cover. ‎ ‎We sprinted through the maze of slot machines. I was the navigator. ‎ ‎"Duck!" I shouted. ‎ ‎Kaelen ducked. A shotgun blast took the head off a statue right where his head had been.

Jerika ran inside her house and then inside her room. She opened her cupboard which had a small safe in it. She opened the safe using the code only known to her and there lies a pen drive. She stare at the pen drive intensely and then brought it out as it was time to run away but as she was running to exist, she was startled when she heard a familiar voice.
