My Boss Is My Tormentor
I said to him as I slid into the backseat.
He rounded the car, settled in the driver seat and then met my gaze in the rear-view mirror as he replied to me, "Then you should call me, Gavin."
"Uh, no, I can't do that. You know how it is in India, we don't call our elders by their names," I said, knowing too well he'd understand.
"Fine. Then call me 'tìo'. His eyes sparkled back at me.
"And, what does that mean exactly?" I asked as I've never heard that word before.
