“Death is like a rain you cannot stop.” On the island of Vitam et Mortem, people with extraordinary capabilities exist and they are called medius which means middle. They are creatures that lie between the living and the dead. They can either see, hear or feel ghosts. The ordinary people of the island or the mormians do not acknowledge these creatures. They witnessed what a medius can do but they keep on invalidating such creatures accusing them of sorcery and witchcraft.

The approach allowed for hunters to fight freely without structural damage to buildings by both hunters and creatures. After ten long years, we had a perfect system in place for raids. A raid was only viable with a minimum of fifteen hunters, four medics, fifty knights and twenty workers. Now, these imbeciles want to change that, common sense replaced by greed. The city of Anatol was by far the wealthiest of the four cities, being built on top of an old gold mine. That mine however has nearly run dry. These fools want to redirect valuable resources to retake a mine overrun by creatures.

And to add in the glory of the realm, here in front of my sights proudly hang in the air, five enormous middle ages castles. Each one encircled with a ring of the different energy field as a show of their strength and magic which they had inherited from their ancestors.

Fire, screaming and something else I am not quite sure what. The fire fills the sky then a shadow, I want to shield my eyes so I can see but the heat is too much. There are others running around but I just stand looking at the skies above me. The vision goes blank and shifts into something else. I am standing in what looks like an old mediaeval looking castle, the grand hall. There is no one here except me, I think as I look around. There is a huge throne at the other end of the room, I slowly make my way towards it.

I poured myself a drink and I sat on the bed and opened it to the first page. It was established in the 1300's and it was a mystical land full of creatures that didn't belong on Earth. Someone didn't want them to be extinct, so they created Morda and sent the creatures to live there. Dragons and beats and Ogre's. Dangerous creatures. Why would anyone want to save those animals?

There were Dwarves, Elves, Forest Fairies, Magical Beasts (such as unicorns), Goblins, Orcs, Ogres, Beastmen, and other types of Monstrous Humanoids. There were even Beastman countries out there somewhere.
