“Okay… what about it? Is there a problem? You’re not backing out, are you?” I let out a quiet breath. “No. It’s not that.” I paused. “I met her.” That got her to freeze. “What?” She said, stepping closer, raising her brows even higher as the features across her face brightened. “You met her already?” I nodded slowly. “Yeah,” I admitted, then rushed to clarify. “It wasn’t planned. We just… ran into each other, and things kind of… went from there.” For a second, she just stared at me. Then her face lit up.

"Nysera!" We met in the middle and hugged tight. It felt so good to have someone here who actually knew me, understood me and has been there for me all the time. "I can't believe you are here," I said, pulling back to look at her. "I had no idea you were coming." "It was surprise, you know," she said, grinning. "Plus, I needed to see for myself that you were okay. You just disappeared and there was nothing from you, I tried your number countless times but it wasn't going through."

she says in a sweet voice. I smile as a tear rolls down from the joy I feel inside from meeting her. "It's good to meet you indeed, Amethyst." 🐺💞✨🐺💞✨🐺💞✨🐺💞✨

she replied excitedly. “Great! Meet us here at five. We shall go together and Artemis would meet us there,” I instructed her. “Artemis? The Goddess Artemis?” she squealed. “Yeah?” I answered, and it came out in a questioning tone. “I am going to meet a Goddess!” she squealed. “Well, you already met me…,” I informed her. “You don’t count Rhea…,” she replied. Ouch! Even she had started to insult me. Great!

She waved at me once more before walking out beside him. She was getting my attention. But I’d wait and see if that next meeting would really happen.

“I have to meet her right now.” *

she agreed, pulling me with her back to the couch. “How did you two meet? When did you meet?” She brightened even more if that was possible. “I first saw him at his company's end of year party last year. I went with a friend and she introduced me to him, but he wasn’t very welcoming. We met again in January at a golf club and I guess fate happened.”

“I can’t believe this is our first time meeting. Officially meeting.” Excitement drips from her voice, a smile touches my lips. El spoke so much about her. We should have met earlier but our clashing schedules made it hard to fix a time that worked for the three of us. I never got an opportunity like this. The smile that crawls to her lips is genuine, not at all creepy like Elena’s. “Right? It’s nice to finally meet you.” She nods. “Same here.”

I look at her expectantly waiting for a response, she smiles “well since you recommended him, then I’ll give it a chance. Do you think he’ll like me?”. I smile at her, “of course he would, and the only way we would know is when you both are introduced to one another” She nods, “when do I get to meet him”; “well seeing how you’re busy and he is also busy, and think the best time for you two to meet will be during my wedding”

she said and lifted a large case of beer with another guy. The place hooted and hollered as she was welcomed with open arms, flipping her auburn hair like a propeller and batting her eyelashes like she was about to take off. I wanted to throw up just watching it. She found me in the crowd and sauntered her way up, but I could see her eyes darting around looking for Ace. “Well, we finally meet again. Remember me now?” she asked. “Nope, can’t say I do.” She snarled. “Nice, still as charming as ever. Well, I’m a lot better than that and I’m here to make amends. Won’t you have a drink with me?”
