“No, ma’am. I’m good with my cake right now.” Megan went to the back to start a second batch of banana bread. If another customer came in, she’d hear the front door bell jingle. Megan POV Searching the bed for Anthony who should have been next to me, but instead I found a space, I yawned and stretched but still laying there, today is the day, today is the day I'll have to let go of Anthony because of some stupid image he has to keep up with and of course my safety, but at this point I did, 't care about Higgins, I wanted to be with Anthony. Lazily I went to the bathroom, it was already 8 and we had to be there by 12, I brushed my teeth showered, got the dress, and went to the kitchen to have breakfast, the anxiousness made me feel full, so all I had was an apple and a glass of orange juice, I took out my cellphone to message my mom and I mistakenly opened the phone

“Not in front of Katrina.” Megan pulled back, a smirk twisting her lips. Her eyes flicked over to Katrina, then back to me. “Does she know that you were a bastard in bed before? I bet not. Good luck impressing the princess, Ellington,” she said, her tone dripping with sarcasm. Her words stung, but I refused to let them show. Before I could respond, Megan turned to Katrina, her smirk widening as she leaned in to greet her with a cheek-to-cheek kiss. “Welcome! I hope you’re not uncomfortable going here?”

I say before turning away. Megan found her mate the summer after graduating high school. She’s been busy with her first pup lately, so I try to answer whenever she calls.
