Chapter four. Subtitle : firebird deserts. ** general POV ** Melanie ran as fast as her legs could carry her. She was crying all the way as she ran through the bushes of the pack. Her old pack. She felt cold, miserable. Rejected and overly she was out of breath. She hated everyone in her pack. She just wanted to disappear and never come back. "Y'all don't want to see me right? I'll leave but I swear your all gonna pay someday... I don't know how but you'll all pay! "

I stared at her, still processing what had just happened. “You… you just…” “Took down a bully? Yeah.” She handed me my sketchbook and the torn pieces. “I’ve dealt with enough assholes in my life to spot one from a mile away. I’m Melissa, by the way. Melissa Hayes Spenser.” “Aria,” I managed. “Aria Martinez.” “Nice to meet you, Aria Martinez.” Melissa sat down beside me on the bench. “Your art is beautiful, by the way. That girl was full of shit.”

her voice was soft as always. “Fine, let's see what you got. Are you done?” I questioned, folding my hands across my chest and tilting my head to the side. “Give me a moment, let me quickly finish up,” Liam said. But Melanie held up a paper. “I'm done with mine. You can take a look.” She handed it over to me. Hers was as bad as mine, if not more. The strokes were out of line, the legs were unnecessarily long, and the tail was tiny.

Ryan suggests. “DEAL!” he and Martins shake hands. “Can the three of you match?” Olivia asks as she scrolls through her Notion app, on entering Melanie’s room, to pick out content ideas that are beginner-friendly for them, that will carry everybody along, and not really stress everybody out since her main client is injured, the other client is a doctor and the last client is a two-year-old. “We can actually do that,” Melanie seems to really like her idea but they are still yet to confirm if she brought the other matching outfits that she has with Kali and Kiki.

Dominguez narrowed his eyes at me, brows meeting in the middle, mouthing ‘what the fuck are you talking about? “It seems your cousin didn’t brief Tony and Juaquin well on how we act when pushed to one corner. Crystal immediately brought the books she was holding, back to the shelves as she inspected the one Mylene was holding. “Yes, this is it.” She replied, skimming through the contents of the aforementioned binder.

Melanie was so angry that she could not even utter a word. After Alejandro was done smoking, he gave Jett a phone call. “Find out the reason why Mateo has returned to the country. I want an answer right now!” ‘If I find out that Mateo has returned for Melanie, I’m definitely not going to let that asshole leave the Capital! Both profit and women are lines that I’ll never let anyone cross!’

" Kate waited for her till she came back. “i think this is it,” Rosaria handed a file to Kate. Kate went through the file and something caught her attention. As the file read, Melanie was an orphan. The time she was in school, she used to live with her aunt. Her aunt couldn’t afford to pay her schools so she was being sponsored by FAWEZA. Kate didn’t want to leave with the file lest Rosaria suspected anything. She just noted the important things she needed. “That will be all,” she said handing the file back to Rosaria

Carl asked while Melanie sighed Shaking her head, she said, “I'm sorry, Carl, but I can't disclose more than that. I hope you understand.” “Anyway, thanks.” “What a drink?” Melanie offered as she grabbed her tequila, but Carl refused nicely. They kept on talking and then her gaze fell on Ryan walking into the bar. “That asshole!” Melanie blurted, furrowing her brows as she stared at him with disgust. “Excuse me..” she said to Carl, who nodded as he watched her strolled towards Charlotte. She whispered some words in Charlotte's ears and Carl watched keenly as they brought out a large envelope. They retracted a series of colorful cards in it.

She kept the Santa Monica condo. Melanie took her coffee into the living room. She found the faded blue and gold yearbook jammed in between some dusty photo albums on her the bookcase. She ran her fingers over the gold embossed seal which read Honor, Integrity, Knowledge, surrounded by the phrase "Let each one find the truth he is seeking" on the cover just below the title Abbeyville, Minnesota Class of 1972.
