He had a feeling it wouldn’t be a good idea to get on Feli’s bad side.
“You better. She’ll never leave you alone until you do,” a woman said. She was about the same age as Aunt Feli. Her resemblance to Mel meant this had to be Kat, her mother.
“Noted,” Trent replied then offered his hand. “Trent Harrison.”
“Katheryn, or Kat, Mel’s mother. A pleasure to meet you, Trent. I have heard so many wonderful things about you.”
“I’m sure Harry is exaggerating.”
Both women laugh. “Oh we know, but Mel is our trusted source. We’re so glad everything worked out between you two,” Kat said, linking her arm with his. “Come, Mel’s been worried you skipped town.”
