Mermaid Tears Novels & Stories

My sight became hazy, clouded by tears and the reflection of the sun dancing on the polished marble beneath my feet. As the pain deepened, tears rained down my face, flowing freely like a torrential downpour. It felt as if a dam, long sealed, had suddenly burst open, releasing a flood of pent-up emotions. Each tear represented the weight of every heartbreaking experience I had endured. They were tears shed for the countless times the woman I considered my mother had subjected me to beatings. They were tears shed for the irreplaceable loss of my Grandpa. And, most importantly, they were tears of anguish over the futile attachment to someone that never truly belonged to me in the first place.

He kept the pad of his finger on my cheek and took a drop on his finger pad. “ These tears are very costly. They contain mascara which is a thousand bucks, then eyeliner which is three thousand bucks, then it smudges the costly foundation and other things that are applied on your cheeks, then it has feelings which are priceless. So you see these things make these tears priceless. Next time think before you let them leave your eyes.” A smile made its way to hearing his cheesy words. Seeing my smile, his lips curled in a beautiful smile. He pulled me in his embrace.

Maybe he drank too much seawater earlier and hurt his brain. “When it is a full moon or new moon, mermaids can save someone with their tears. We can only do it three times in our lives, and it was my first time. I can still save two more people before I lose my tail forever. You should be more careful. Falling from the sky can hurt. You didn’t even bring the air rock or wear black clothes with funny fake tails.”

I asked,trying to stop my tears from dropping. "Uhm..erm.." She stuttered.. "Answer me mum! Who are my? Don't tell me am not a human" I asked with a wide opened eyes.. Could it be that I'm a mermaid? I have read a lot of stories about mermaid and someone told me that mermaids do cry out pearls. I hope I'm not one.. "Of course you're a human. But you're a special human" mum finally said. "Thank goodness I'm a human" I heaved a sigh of relief. "But why is my tears turning to pearls?"

I said. "Good." Liora reached into her coat pocket and pulled out a small glass vial. Empty. "One more thing. I lied about the f*e. There's a material component." She held up the vial. "One tear. From each of you. Freely given, after the deal is struck. Not grief tears. Not pain tears. The kind that come when you've been holding something for a very long time and you finally put it down." She set the vial on the bedside table and stepped back.

Tears burned the corners of Meriall’s eyes as she imagined her boy smiling and behaving like a merciful king. Renai felt she was hit by a final stroke. Tears flowed down her eyes limit-free. She pulled back her hands, scooted closer to the edge and began weeping like clouds unleashing its pain. She palmed her face and sobbed. She couldn’t control it anymore. This was too much.

Tears falling like an neverending waterfall from my eyes. I didn't have to mindlink my father, he already knewn she was gone by the snapping of the mate bond, letting him known she was dead. The screams I heard from my father that night were sounds you would never think a grown man could make. His screams mirroring that of a banshee, ear piercing cries rang through out the bathroom, bouncing off the silver tile walls.

His clothes were ripped, blood crusted along his side, scratches all over his chest. He took a step toward me. "Stop," I said, holding out my hand without thinking. "Just don’t. Stay back." He froze. And for the first time since I met his eyes, Kieran actually looked... hurt. Not physically. Not from the fight or whatever that had been. But in his eyes. It was like he was trying to keep his expression neutral, but I could see it—the way his jaw tensed, the flicker of something vulnerable in his face before he looked away.
