Finish this!” Sage finally freed Mark’s right wrist. He immediately reached for her face, pulling her down for a hard, desperate kiss despite the blood and restraints.

Sage replied while giving Jes an odd look. "Are you single?" Ignoring Sage's comment, Jes asked again. Sage stays far enough behind, careful not to let his scent carry too close, but his mind is racing with questions. Finally, she stops, and Sage hides behind a wide tree trunk, peeking carefully. He sees her standing in the middle of the clearing. She pulls her hood back; her sharp eyes look around like she’s waiting for someone. And then he hears it: the sound of footsteps before Alpha Xander comes into view, dressed in black that allows him to blend perfectly into the night.
