Chapter 103 Author's POV The dresses were simple but quite effective. Alpha Duiane had instructed to change out of their attire, they donned dark hooded cloaks, scuffed leather boots, and dress belts that made them look like merchant travelers or lower pack members seeking an audience with their alpha. Lessie had first objected on the grounds that she did not like having them on, but Alpha Duiane clamped her mouth shut with a glance which spoke volumes about how urgent their assignment was to this.

And the shape of her perfect little ass was really visible for everyone to see, which didn't exactly make Jesse happy. It was a petty squabble, and they didn't want to really fight and argue over costumes so they just decided to go to Levi's Hallow's Eve party dressed as Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera instead. It was so last minute, but they had fun going through the dollar store for their makeshift costumes. They even won best couple costume, prize was a box of condoms. Not that they need to use it. Oh, Levi.

Devin nods and looks at her and then her outfit before he frowns, perplexed. “Why are you dressed like that? It’s not Halloween.” Mira shrugs and looks down at her costume. “I like Tinkerbell.” She admits sheepishly, her cheeks turning rosy. “I like Spiderman, but my mummy doesn’t let me wear my costume all the time.” Devin sighs woefully. “I wish she did. That would be so cool.” Mira giggles and nods. “My mummy lets me wear what I like. I can wear this every day if I want to.” Mira gushes with a big grin that lit up her eyes even more.

And I can’t wait to see what she’s going to look like in the specialty costume we’ve selected. She’s gorgeous enough in her tight, little uniform. But the Mardi Gras costumes … This year’s costumes are miniskirts in the traditional colors of purple, yellow, and green, and full of sequins. They’ll show off her legs perfectly. And the skimpy tops cut down low in all the right places. It’s going to show off almost everything. Yes, this is going to be one excellent party.

Unless… Hema stood in front of the grand mirror, her breath hitching slightly as she took in her own reflection. She looked regal—no, ethereal—draped in a crimson-red lehenga embroidered with intricate golden motifs, each thread weaving a tale of elegance and power. The blouse, adorned with shimmering embellishments, hugged her form, accentuating her graceful posture. A sheer red dupatta cascaded from her head, its gold-edged embroidery framing her face like a queen’s crown.

A Halloween masquerade was being held on The Hill, the most luxurious area in all of Grey City, crowning the city with swanky rooftop townhouses and lavish million dollar mansions. The Hill meant money. Portrayed power and status… and everyone who was anyone wanted Hill status. Curious that I would receive an invitation. I couldn't imagine why I would be invited to a party like this. Was this some type of mistake? All Hallows Eve Masquerade The Hill at Carter Mansion Male Attire: Suit – black, Mask – required Female Attire: Lingerie – required, Mask – optional My insides shuddered. How could I possiblity dress in lingerie... in front of all of those people? The Hill type of people.

Whatever the northern border message had contained, it seemed to occupy him fully. "Change of plans," the gamma’s assistant, Rhea said as she tossed a garment bag onto the bench beside me. "The festival committee has decided on uniform costumes for the performance. Something about visual cohesion." She rolled her eyes. "Open it." Inside was a dress unlike anything I'd worn since arriving at the palace. The fabric was a deep crimson, light as air and layered in panels that would move with every turn and extension. The bodice was structured but not restrictive, stitched with delicate silver thread that caught the light like scattered stars. It was designed for dancing.

Mia nods while Rachel picks what she wants to wear. I look at the options and its hard for me to choose cause they're all beautiful but I choose this.... I grab one of the red lace masks to put on with it and head to a changing room. Mia's outfit with a rose gold mask Courtney's outfit with a silver mask Rachel's outfit with a glittery gold mask . exactly what they came for. **** The evening sun set behind the horizon, bathing the resort in a gentle glow as Cassia and her friends got ready for the masquerade ball Quinn had insisted they attend. The excitement was evident as they picked out their masks. Cassia’s mask was elegant, black with gold accents, shaped like delicate wings that framed her face. It perfectly matched her flowing dark dress, giving her a mysterious yet stunning look. Kiara’s mask was bold and vibrant, decorated in red with feathers, while Quinn went for something simple but sparkling, lined with silver beads.

The chocolate was the first marking so the costume would be the public shaming. “They brought something appropriate,” Veronica said, as if she were describing a new dress for a doll. A maid came in carrying a garment like a piece of tacky theater: garish sequins, colors that clashed with my skin, straps that promised exposure and laughter. It was the sort of thing that flashed obscene under a spotlight and had no place outside a stage. “Take it off,” Veronica said, eyes on me with a hound’s patience. “Change into that. You’ll look the part.”
