Micro... Micro means something very small. Chip? I vaguely recall my master mentioning something about his company making them, but I don't understand the concept, so I nod my head, 'No'. She digs in her case and pulls out a plastic tube with a needle at the end. It's sealed in a plastic wrapper with a white paper backing. Walking over to me, she lays it on the bed and I sit up, pulling the blanket tightly around my chest. I scan the packaging with my eyes for a moment, before looking at the words.

It has a small scene underneath the three buttons but nothing else. Ms. Cummings walks over to me first and smiles. "You signed first. You should go first," she says as she holds out her hand. I place mine in hers hesitantly, before reminding myself whatever happens is going to happen. No reason to second guess my decision now. She presses the middle white button, and a small needle pops out of the end of the square device. She pricks my finger quickly, and the device gives a beep as the needle disappears. "My device only has one location I can teleport people to. It is very basic compared to the teleporters they use," Ms. Cummings states as she stares at the small screen.

I work for a premium security company, and we had just taken delivery of the smallest cameras imaginable..tiny pinhole lenses no bigger than a pinhead, virtually invisible once installed. They connected seamlessly to any Wi-Fi network without appearing in device lists or router logs. Motion-activated, 4K resolution, crystal-clear audio, remote pan and zoom, and everything streamed live or recorded straight to my encrypted phone app. For a secret voyeur like me, it felt like winning the lottery.

A few minutes passed, the phone screen was still bright, even though he put it on mode for ten seconds, it would turn itself off. Dean thought he should sit at the desk to handle the work but the mosquitoes in the mountains cannot be despised, each one is as big as a grasshopper. Competing with guerrillas, stinging quickly to make him itchy the whole body, unable to concentrate on work.

We placed our drink order with the waiter when he came, and a few minutes later, we had our drinks and were waiting on our food. “I have something to tell you guys,” I stated, leaning in and whispering. “What is it?” Sage asked. “Well,” I started looking at all their faces. I knew by the look on Mina’s that she already knew. Of course, she did—little vampire. I was about to continue when our food came out.
