Something about a bridge being nearby is the only thing I can remember. Suddenly, the world swirls and I’m standing on that bridge with Kendric. “I fell off the cliff and then ended up here. This was our third life, for sure.” Kendric looks over at me with a confused expression. “Are you seeing this too?” A ticking clock sounds from somewhere nearby and I look around to see where it’s coming from. “Do you hear that?” A voice comes out of nowhere from somewhere above us. “Midnight is coming. Run while you can.”

“Let him do it. Now.” “Lunessa, there’s no time!” Vanya called out. Seraphira was still thrashing in her arms, screaming her sister’s name, sobbing until her voice cracked. I looked up toward the window. The moon hung full in the night sky. In the distance, I could hear the low howl of wolves and the soft rhythm of drums from the village below. “It’s always the damn full moon,” I whispered to myself. Then I turned to my uncle and nodded. “Do it.”

My mind blurred Marianne. "Okay, let's go to this cafeteria," I agreed. I was looking forward to hearing everything he had to say to me. But also, let me tell him everything I was keeping in my heart. We entered the cafe hand in hand. We found an empty table near a window and somewhat away from the other customers and sat down. When the waiter came to our table, we gave him our order, and in a few minutes, he returned with our coffees. Steamy and fragrant.

19th August 2022 The Prom was to start at 8 pm. Avyanna was tensed as usual. Lala tried to calm her nerves but Avyanna was both very anxious and excited.
