May I come in?” There were a few beats of silence. “It's your bedroom,” her weak voice sounded. I turned the knob and cautiously opened the door. The lights in the bedroom were off. Had it not been for the full moon, I might not have noticed her sitting on the floor with her knees pressed to her chest, staring at the night sky. I walked closer and sat a few feet away from her, leaning my back against the bed frame. She didn't turn to me, remaining motionless.
