Evelyn's POV "I, Alpha Kyle Turner, reject you, Evelyn Sanders, as my mate." Alpha Kyle hoarse voice boomed in my ears making me freeze on my tracks, his voice laced with disgust. Crack! A cracking sound resounded inside my body and I felt as if a part of me was forcefully torn and taken away. My wolf howled in pain but there was nothing I could do about it. Tears flowed down my face as the pain became immeasurable, increasing with each second to the point I was unable to tolerate it. I could care less about the gazes on me. I was already used to it.

Beside him stood Standfast, a bit shorter but no less imposing, with a sneer playing on his lips. Standfast, around nineteen, had a more rugged demeanor compared to Phillip. His face, while not conventionally handsome, bore the marks of someone who had seen their fair share of trouble. He had a solid build, indicating a readiness for action rather than words. His eyes held a steely intensity, hinting at a volatile temperament kept in check only by Phillip's presence.

Unplugging the camera cord from the Tv Screen he raises an eyebrow at me. “You thought that was weird too, right?” he asks. “Yeah, I’m not sure where Raymond's excitement came from,” I say. We sit in silence for a few minutes before a knock comes on the door. “Come in” I holler. Connor pushes open the door, quickly closing it behind him, and steps forward holding up a thumb drive. “Alpha, Beta, I’ve got something on Kyle.”

Again I nod, “I do.” Dad breaks out with a huge smile as he releases my hand and turns back to face the crowd. I feel the surge of power move through me, as I say the final vow, linking me completely to the pack as Alpha. “Ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to announce your new Alpha and Luna of Charwood, Alpha Zander Blackwood and Luna Ashleigh Blackwood.” If I thought the cheers before were loud I was wrong, the room exploded with cheers and congratulatory happiness.
