Mykel’s wolf was silver, a breed of wolf known for their extraordinary gifts. This year was our turn to hold the annual Alpha meeting. Ever since Mykel stepped up and took over from his father, he had avoided each one with the excuse he wasn’t ready. But not this year, had we refused to accommodate it would have been seen as a great disrespect to the surrounding packs as well as those who are coming from further away.

Any thought that makes me believe as if everything is going to be okay. My head raised hearing something running through the bushes over the wall and there I froze seeing it was the large dark wolf, I once saved at a younger age. "I wished I was free like you," I said softly now envying his life. Werewolves could go wherever they pleased and they were strong. It stopped and its blood-red eyes turned to look at me as if it could hear me. I was stunned. Its's eyes which were as red as the first time I saved it leered at me. My body was frozen by its stare.

Notes that told about generations past that came here from Romania and grew the pack. This had to be the book. Legends of the Werewolf. Surely there couldn't be two books with the exact same title.

She whimpered loudly as she struggled to free herself from them. Just as Jasmine took a step toward the comotion, a black Jeep Wrangler pulled up next to us, and Blake and Luke stepped out. “What the fuck is going on?” Blake asked, looking around. He glanced over in our direction and asked, “Jasmine, are you okay?” Lucy let out a whine. “Get off my mate!” Luke shouted at the wolves that were currently pinning her down. They all instantly got up, and Lucy walked over to Luke, sitting down next to him in her wolf form.

His eyes met mine one last time before he took a deep breath and shifted. His bones cracked and within seconds, his wolf form stood in front of me. It was sleek, dark gray, and looked strong but it was smaller than Kaden’s massive brown wolf. Kaden’s wolf let out a deep growl, showing his sharp teeth before lunging again. Kellan’s wolf tried to dodge, but Kaden tackled him hard to the ground. They rolled over each other, teeth snapping, claws ripping into flesh. Kellan’s wolf managed to bite down on Kaden’s shoulder, but Kaden shook him off like he weighed nothing.

All the warriors were conditioned to live life as if they were in active battle so they moved without urgency or fear as we embarked on one of the greatest journeys of our pack. “Let’s end this,” I said. He followed behind me as we went to where the others were gathered. There were over two hundred wolves that would start the operation and we had several backups, all of whom would come after us. We would devastate Blood Moon hard and fast. I shifted. My senses sharpened. The ground underneath quivered with the paws of so many wolves moving at once in the same direction. Blood Moon didn’t know we were coming. Not yet. By the time we got to the borders, their soldiers were just changing shifts

It's basically a big party for all the unmated pack members to mingle and hopefully meet their fated mate. In our pack this is a huge deal for females to return since it is a second chance to find our wolf. I don't know that I want to return once I leave. Again, I don't think I have a wolf. But college is expensive and having the pack pay would be pretty nice, maybe the trade off would be
