Azira sensing the tension, held my arms in a light grip. “You don't talk to us in that manner, Sienna…” Azira strolled two steps ahead, her hands behind her back — calm, collected. “We may be slaves but we are not stupid. We are Werewolves, too and you have to think twice before sounding like a wolf in heat!” The crowd gasped. Sienna's nose flared, brows knotted in a tight line. She opened her lips to say something when a voice interrupted. “Wow!” The person behind the voice clapped. I strained my neck as the figure appeared before Sienna and the air around me chilled, sharp as a broken glass in my lungs.

SIERRA'S POV The night of the Luna Ceremony was the kind that made even the mountains hold their breath. Moonlight spilled like fire over the courtyard, turning stone and steel into something holy. Every torch flickered in rhythm with the wind, every banner of the Moonbane Pack rippled under the blue sky. The air hummed with anticipation, with the scent of wolves and something divine. And somewhere in the middle of it all stood me. My name, Sierra. The kennel girl. The lowest omega in Moonbane.

But then Sera’s phone buzzed. She looked at it. Her face went white. “What is it?” I asked. She turned the phone toward me. A video. Grainy. Dark. But clear enough. Six wolves. All shifted. All with eyes that glowed with cursed power just like Kade’s. Just like mine now. And in the centre, a woman’s voice. Cold. Ancient. Terrifying. “Hello, Aria Steele. Welcome to the war.” The video cut off. And I realised Thomas was right about one thing.

"Please, a few more words, Ms. Vaughn. The Northlands are starving for Zoe’s truth." Sierra took the microphone, her gaze lingering on Lexi. "First, I must thank Ms. Hart for the unique experience of being cast out, only to be summoned back to the peak. It was quite... educational." Lexi’s forced smile looked like it was about to crack. Sierra turned to the wider audience. "And secondly, I owe my victory to a specific wolf. Without his intervention, I would still be a ghost in the shadows." The Coordinator leaned in. "And who is this mysterious patron?"

she continued as we walked. “She lives among humans?” Scott questioned her. Sienna stopped in her tracks and turned to face us. “Yes, but she’s still a part of my coven and the southern pack,” “The southern pack? She’s a werewolf and a witch, that’s cool,” Nate chimed in, making Sienna glare at him. “Sorry,” he mumbled. “Let’s move,” she said as her eyes flickered between us. I leaned on Nate and whispered. “Yes, we could trust them,” his lips quivered into a small smile.

I take a deep breath in, feeling my heartrate slow as I exhale. “Cassidy’s wolf’s name is Nina. Now Nina is a special kind of wolf. Some of you are already aware of Cassidy and Nina, some of you are aware of our history and the mythology surrounding it.” The crowd starts to chatter, theorising what Alpha is talking about. He holds his hand up and they fall silent. “Nina is an Elemental wolf.”

But there was a rustle of leaves behind them. My eyes twitched towards the treeline. Several wolves snarled behind them. Advanced slowly, snouts to the ground. I smiled at Eugene. Those weren’t our men. Those were Lover’s Quarrel wolves. Just in front of the pack stood a burly woman. Her hair was pulled back but clearly greying. Her skin was worn with wrinkles from years spent laughing. Her eyes went straight to Eugene. “I think someone might have different plans than you, Eugene.” Ozias mused, crossing his arms across his chest. The Alpha’s head turned around. He noticed the woman behind him. Noticed the wolves closing in. From behind us, our men caught up fully. Guns pointed at the Alpha.

As the fight got more intense, the two werewolves shifted, so that where two men were fighting before, there was a very large grey wolf, Thomas, and a slightly smaller black wolf, Jonas. The wolves circled each other, the grey one’s eyes full of wisdom, experience, and anger. In the black wolf’s eyes were a knowing look … and triumph, which was weird because it was being beaten hands down. Several bones in its body had been broken and it was favoring its right front leg, whereas the other wolf was very much unhurt. The fact that the black wolf was being beaten did not seem to faze it, though. Its eyes kept darting around, as though searching for something, so the pack members thought that it

In one swipe, I cut off the bitten area. 'PAT' She jerked back, her eyes cautioning. Good. "So you would know about Sienna too." She scoffed as if what I said was in itself absurd, "That she's from the filthy dogs, Werewolves?" She scoffs, "So is the other half of the city. It wasn't even worth mentioning." I cut pieces by piece, slicing off only the parts that could give away my ruse. Sally wisely kept her mouth shut. She knew Sienna was shady anyway, I focused my rage on the meat to spare her pretty face.

She wanted to be able to run through the woods with him, hunt with him, follow him wherever his duties took him. Rhys felt his wolf trying to take over. He let him taste her and felt his wolf's elation. Rhys found himself lecturing his wolf. "Now that you've had a taste, you can wait until tomorrow night. Then she will be ours completely." His wolf agreed to wait. "Little one, I will warn you about one thing. The pack will be curious about you and Jenna. They've never seen a Werepanther. They're going to want to see you."
