Sienna screeched. “Yeah, Maverick,” I said, shoving his hands away. It was just an excuse to touch me. He pouted at me. So much for our dinner, I thought. We were crowded in the living room. Storm and Gage, the two highest-ranked wolves in the pack, the Alpha and Luna and a pretty vicious Alpha female. Ryder was on his way. “What are we going to do? We can’t set the forest on fire again. We don’t even know where they are,” Gage said.

In the middle of a clearing, two massive wolves were locked in battle. Luka’s dark, hulking form clashed with Alec’s silver wolf, their fur matted with blood and dirt. Their snarls filled the air, a terrifying sound of raw power and fury. They circled each other, teeth bared, their eyes blazing with a hatred so deep that it cut through Elara like a knife.

It was quite puzzling for her. This group of wolves was more than two and a half meters tall. They were standing in front of them, scrutinizing as wild animals would to their prey before pouncing on it. There were four wolves in total. "Tch, a bunch of mutts." Annie seemed to mutter slowly under her breath, she seemed to be calm unexpectedly. The two took a few steps back. The wolves walked at steady steps forward, as if in no hurry. As Jenna and Logan celebrated their victory, they suddenly heard a loud roar coming from the forest. They looked up and saw a huge, black wolf standing at the edge of the clearing. The wolf's eyes glowed yellow, and it snarled at Jenna and Logan. Jenna felt her heart skip a beat. She knew that this was no ordinary wolf—it was an Alpha werewolf, and it was here for revenge.
