Before I realized it, my wolf surged forward, and in a heartbeat, I had her pinned against the wall, her braid twisted tightly in my fist, my forearm pressing against her throat. “You don’t get to speak about him,” I hissed. “You don’t get to look at him.” Her eyes widened in surprise, a flicker of shock crossing her face. I want to see how you, and all of them, can enjoy everything with such clear consciences." My gaze swept past Lorcan and landed on the two wolves behind him. One was my brother by blood and Beta of the Moonshadow pack, Arwen Griffin. The other was my childhood sweetheart, who once promised to protect me forever, the pack's Gamma, Maverick Wulfe. They had once been the most important wolves of my life. But now, they were Sienna's most loyal supporters.

“Sure, last room at the end of this hall.” “Thank you” and she headed off towards the room. Sienna grabbed my arm as I went to follow Everest. “Hey, it’s been a little while…let me know if you have a need for some company anytime soon…” She bit her lip and her reddish-brown eyes smoldered. She had long red hair and a fair complexion. She was pretty and smart, but I hated being pestered by she-wolves. “I’m a little preoccupied right now, but thanks…” I pulled my arm back and followed Everest down the hall as her gaze soured through narrowed eyes.

He held out the glass. I stared at it, my heart racing. "I just want to leave. Please." "Not until I'm convinced you're not a threat." "A threat? I'm nobody!" The words burst out of me, frustration and fear mixing together. "I'm just a wolfless girl who doesn't matter to anyone. Why would I cause problems for you?" The room went quiet, and I realized what I'd just admitted. Wolfless. Sienna started laughing. "Oh my God, I almost forgot! You guys didn't know? Meera here doesn't have a wolf. She's basically human. Completely useless."

It was a strange feeling. Determination was written all over Lexi's face, and she had exceeded Sienna's expectations. She was strong, but Sienna was stronger and faster. Dodging Lexi's relentless blows while delivering her own, Sienna forced Lexi to become frustrated and shift into her wolf form. A large brown wolf burst out of her body, snarling at everyone before focusing her attention on Sienna. The crowds gasped at the beauty of Sienna's white wolf. She was also as large as Lexi's wolf. White Warrior wolves are genetically very large, just like the alpha wolves. She lunged forward with inhumane speed, jaws open, aiming for the brown wolf's throat.

Soon, they had transformed into large wolves. Sienna woke up with a scream. Her body was drenched in a cold sweat and her heart was racing faster than a horse. Elliot grasped her arms and turned her so that she was facing him. Lifting her chin slightly, he looked into her eyes and said, “Tell me what happened, hun.” Sienna ran her tongue over her lips and gulped before stuttering, “Th…those men… turned into wolves. There were four of them… the tall man with the scar became a large black…”

Her reaction alone was enough to send Sienna into a fit of laughter. "Oh, don’t look so shocked," Sienna said between chuckles. "Iam only joking." She shook her head, still smiling. When she finally sobered up, she said. "Honestly, these wolves are incredibly fertile. If you’re not ready for that kind of surprise, you better be takingprotection already. Even they don't work sometimes." Violet blinked at her. "He doesn't like orotection, so we never took it," Violet replied. Sienna lifted her brows, clearly amused. "In that case, I should probably get serious about getting my shape back," she teased. "I want to be the gorgeous godmother to my godchild."

But alas, Mom needs my help today and I promised I’d pick her up some hot coffee on my way over to help warm her up since we’re in the middle of Autumn and in Denali, it’ll only get colder from here.
