"Mom, I found something." The room got tenser. Mimi's heart raced because she didn't know what new danger was waiting for them. Simeon went ahead with a leather-bound book that looked old in his hands. I found this under the floorboards in my room. It wasn't visible. Mimi's eyes were transfixed to the diary, and she felt fear deep inside her. She took the book from him, and her fingers brushed against the thin leather. This moment felt too heavy to ignore; something was wrong with it.

Solin nodded. But Cael said, “What if it’s not?” Riven looked at the female mimic. “Can you choose?” It hesitated. Then, very slowly: “We remember the shape of choice.” That’s when the lights dimmed. And the real problem arrived. Another mimic dropped from the rafters — larger, armored, four limbs instead of two. Its body glistened with wet plating. Its face was blank — no mouth, no eyes. It moved like a snake wearing a man’s skin.

Mimie walked towards the arranged chairs and sat on one of the empty seats,she rolled her eyes as she listened to the boring speeches by some of the authors who took turns talking about their books. Mimie found all of this time wasting as it delayed her from achieving her purpose. “Finally!” Mimie said as she heard one of the authors open the booking signing. The authors made their way to their various signing booths.Mimie beingsa cunning lady made her way past some people and stood right in front of Rio at his signing booth. Rio sighed as he looked her straight in the face. “What would you like to sign?” He asked dryly as he removed his gaze from her.

Xves murmured, “It won’t attack until it completes the first read. But the moment it copies your emotional baseline it will strike.” “Meaning what” Liam asked. “Meaning she can’t panic,” Xves said. “If she does the mimic will take that as approval to attack.” Aleksander muttered, “She’s already panicking.” The mimic moved again but this time it wasn’t mirroring. It reached out. Its hand lifted just a little. Like it was testing the distance. Liam stepped into its path before I could move. “Touch her and I break you in half.” The mimic didn’t look at him. It only stared at me. Like Liam’s body wasn’t even there. Like nothing mattered except the command it had been given.

I remain silent during this process, still not sure what to think about this situation. “Oh, this isn’t good.” Axel exclaims, checking his phone. “I have an alert, the police are looking for a fugitive with telekinetic abilities who may be able to identify a high-risk Abnormal known as a ‘Mimic’.” He looks confused and turns to Myah, “Do you know what a Mimic is?” He asks. She doesn’t show any reaction but simply states; “I can’t think of anything relating to that, CC?” Myah looks towards her sister for a further response,

I snapped my gaze at him as I tried to decipher his words. “You mean they weren’t who they claimed to be? But wouldn’t someone have recognized them?” Both Finn and Ivan were quiet. “We weren’t looking for it. Someone could have come in and pretended. None of us asked the hard questions or really talked enough to make them give themselves away.” Finn clicked his tongue angrily. “It could have been a fucking mimic.” A mimic was a creature that little was known about. They were closely related to ghosts but their nature was associated with demons, yet their magic was similar to a fairy. They had the uncanny ability to ‘mimic’ any appearance of any creature. This included copying their voice and

silences, the voice that whispered in the shower, the voice that screamed into pillows when the grief became too large for the body that contained it. "You've been avoiding me," the mimic said. It smiled, and the smile was wrong too—it was too knowing, too patient, too much like a predator that has finally cornered prey too tired to run. "But you can't avoid me here. This is where I've always lived. Inside the parts of you that you don't let anyone see."

Scarlet red shaded her cheeks as the man pulled away. Emma blinked hesitantly and swallowed, her features tensed as she felt the strong taste of alcohol in her mouth. "She knows who she belongs to," Kevin retorted looking at her moist lips and right into those deep hazel eyes that were avoiding looking at him again. Jimin saw what he was doing and smiled. After that, she decided to get her plans into action. She shifted into her human form and then created a Zimicah that had been there before their fight. The one he will die in. She created illusions that depicted everything that was on it. The beautiful trees and animals. She added some of her imagination to make things more interesting. She made the trees colourful, and the birds colourful as well. She made houses to be in the middle of some kind of forest. And her work looked really beautiful. The cave which had been black and filled with nothing had suddenly transformed into a beautiful, dreamy world. A land she had created herself.
