I say, startled by how easy it is to connect. “We are family.” Maia tells me out loud. “I will always be able to connect to my child, just as Alessia will.” I turn and see that Alessia has pushed forward again. “Always.” She agrees. “See what I mean? I know you have the ability to mind link long distances, but with Maia’s help, Artemis should be able to mind link your pack members, even though the distance extends past your reach.”

I don’t smell fear on her. She nods her head and then I look at Thalia and Mia and I start talking to them via the mind link. ‘If you two are ever in trouble, you can connect via mind link now.’ I hear both of them gasp and I chuckle. Raul and Sophie also chuckle. “Pretty cool, huh?” I say to Thalia and her sister. “That is so neat. How do you do that?” Mia asked. Raul interrupts, “I will show you, Mia. I’m sure Aiden and Thalia are tired and would like to go rest.”

My knees trembled, struggling to push the truth out of my mind. "I'm pretty much making you understand then," Xander replied, nuzzling my forehead with his warm lips. "Answer me, do you feel it?" I couldn't help but gape. His lips weren't moving, but his voice was clearly audible. I pushed him away, then covered my ears with both hands in panic. He said my name without moving his lips. He spoke straight to my mind. "Xander...." My hands trembled at the illustration of how mind-links were intertwined with one end anchored in his mind and the other in mine. A bond that was previously too weak to allow interaction was twisted back into strength.

I could feel the vibrations from his chest against my back as he laughed. "Hey, it's called releasing endorphins or whatever." He mumbled. I rolled my eyes and we both chuckled at his statement. Link leaves my side, not before kissing me hard and pushing Misha out of the way. "Go keep them safe and calm. I'll help your brother" Link tells Misha firmly "Be safe. Boss kill. You hurt" Misha says before handing over his second gun and saying something to Sasha before rushing to the safe room. Trying not to get upset I pull out two of my knives with hidden trackers in them and give them to Link. "Come back to me baby" I tell Link before turning to Sasha.

Several students were caught in the thick mud instead as the area surrounding them turned into a bog. Johan landed on solid bedrock and cracked the ground with his fist, aiming at Xander. “Magma whip!” Xander called out. But It solidified before it got near Johan, falling on the ground and breaking up into fine sand. “Magma whi-“ “Still haven’t learned your lesson?” Johan said with a grin as the whip disappeared before it could form. Xander was surprised to see that he was merely a couple of feet away from him. “You know, you’re doing the same thing as... as...” Johan scratched his lengthening red hair. “When did we have this conversation again?”

My cheeks turned a scarlet red, embarrassed that our mating was that intense. If only they knew that was just us making love. The real fucking began after and it sure was something. I was still sore between my legs. Xander wore an expression of pure smug male pride. His chest was puffed out and if he didn’t look so damn satisfied, I’d be tempted to wipe that smirk right off his face. “I’ve been getting mindlinks all morning about it,” said Micah with a dramatic eye roll. “Everyone is wondering who their new luna is, though most already guessed. Everyone is at the training grounds waiting for you two.”

Mia groans as she grabs a towel, handing me one as she darts into the room, wrapping the towel around her to answer the phone. “Fen, where are you exactly?” I ask as I hear Mia answer the phone in the room. I walk out just in time to hear her call his name. “I’m at home. Do you want me to portal and come and get you both?” he asks as he is speaking to Mia. Wolves can do this, mind link and speak on the phone at the same time. It’s kind of like having a call on loudspeaker as you send a message or scroll through emails.
