Rah smiled. “But you mated with him, didn’t you?” Arthur asked seriously. Rah grinned and nodded. “Then your minds are linked,” Arthur looked confused. “Minds link only due to wolves. Humans don’t link minds, nor they mate for life,” Rah informed and Arthur stopped dead in his track. “Only wolves minds link?” Arthur repeated. “Yes,” Rah nodded. “One wolf, one human?” Arthur clarified.

I asked, breaking the silence that had settled between us. Chester's gaze softened, and he began to explain, "Mindlinking is a rare gift among vampires. It allows us to communicate telepathically with others of our kind, forming a strong mental bond. It's an intimate connection that enables us to share thoughts, emotions, and even memories." I listened attentively, fascinated by this newfound knowledge of vampire abilities. It was as if a veil had been lifted, revealing a hidden world I never knew existed. He asked defiantly and I pursed my lips in an attempt to not look as needy as I actually was, I didn’t want him to know I was much I was feeling empty without his presence. “No..!” I lied, trying to keep my eyes on my hands but couldn’t help but gaze at his tall muscular form. I didn’t intend to link to his mind, I was still an amateur at creating mind links and I guess that was because I did not have my wolf, but the mate bond was just as powerful and I must have subconsciously linked to his mind.

A moment before Einar pushes forward I look at Xander. “What is it?” Einar pushes the shift but Xander answers me in the mind link. ‘Vampires!’

I could suddenly feel his heartbeat which was now in tune with mine, his mind which was aligned to his people was aligning to mine, and his memories, he was linking them to me. "What is happening Shadow?" I mindlink him. "I am linking you to my mind link and those of my people. Although you can't say anything in this link as yet because we aren't fully mated, I can feel what you are feeling and you are going to be able to see what is happening with our people , be linked too them, and familiarize yourself with their links." he smiles.
