A Daughter’s Revenge

A Daughter’s Revenge

I say, emphasizing his shock. “Absolutely no brain! But if they lose a point of their star, they can grow it back.” He adds. He pauses. I look over my shoulder towards him. His little face studies the sea star in his hand. I can see the detailed fine lines he etched into the carving. I can see the hundreds of little uniform divots carved onto the underside to represent the tube feet. A look of sadness ghosts his face but is quickly wiped away. “Imagine just being able to heal yourself.” He continues. “Miraculous.”

The Princes's Miraculous Physician

Instead, her skin burned with a maddening, blistering itch. Pushing herself up on shaky arms, she caught her reflection in the moonlit water. The face staring back wasn't hers. It was a young, gaunt girl, her skin marred by oozing, angry red pustules. Her ancient, ragged dress clung to a frail, malnourished frame. "What...?" Sua rasped, her hands flying to her foreign cheeks. Before she could process the impossible, a tidal wave of strange memories slammed into her skull. She doubled over, clutching her temples as the dying echoes of the body's original owner flooded her mind.

of the walls began to boil. "Movement! Nine o'clock, three o'clock, ceiling!" Marcus roared, deploying his energy shield. The walls didn't just secrete acid; they birthed defenders. The bio-polymer stretched and tore, and from the mucal lining of the corridor, shapes began to pull themselves free. They were featureless, humanoid figures made of a silvery, semi-solid liquid metal, moving with the terrifying fluidity of mercury. "Mimic Phage Beasts," Jack realized. "They’re the immune system. We’re the pathogens."

Claiming her Reign

Claiming her Reign

The wind magic had created a tiny, temporary haven in the liquid chaos. The change in energy made the dark creatures recoil. They stopped their attack, their glowing eyes fixed on the blue light and the air bubble. It will not last long, Milady Xian'na, Arriana’s voice, quiet and urgent, resonated in my mind from the bracelet. The pressure is immense here. You must claim this core quickly. The creatures that had surrounded me—the vaguely fish-like shapes—began to change. Their dark forms shimmered and warped, their glowing eyes growing large until they dissolved. When the transformation finished, standing before me was not a school of beasts, but a single entity.

Conscious Conscience

Conscious Conscience

I said while looking at the cracked walls and falling debris. "Now I better get out of here…. I immediately retrieve the carcass of the snake, along with the other carcasses of the monsters. Thanks to my strength I can carry a net-full of monsters in here… With this I think I should now upgrade my "Iris Lens".

The Alpha's Scar's

Legends whispered that it possessed mystical properties, a conduit designed to help Aria harness her unique abilities and seek answers to her most profound questions. With her heart pounding in her chest, Mira sprang from her seat, a newfound purpose driving her forward. She hurried to Aria's safe, a sturdy wooden box intricately carved with ancient symbols of protection that seemed to pulse with history. Her hands trembled as she unlocked it, revealing the globe nestled within, its surface smooth and cool, radiating a sense of potential. As she cradled it against her palm, it felt alive, a heartbeat of energy thrumming beneath her fingers, as if the globe was waiting for her to awaken its p

The Pack's Emissary

The Pack's Emissary

The room rustled with bugs as a result. “Hmm,” Meguitte carefully picked her way across the room, avoiding the trap which was as freshly marked as the day Leighton had made it, and selected a jar that already seethed with bug life. She set it near the door and reached out with her power. “Inlerum caprae.” Within moments, the bugs began making trails towards the jar, the flies plunging into the sticky mess, and the insects crawling up the glass. “Nice,” Connery approved from behind the mask. “Can you do anything about the smell?”

I started reading this series when you were about halfway through The Pack’s Triquetra and I’ve been in love with it ever since. It’s amazingly written and as sad as I will be to see it end, I’m very curious to see the ending :) How often do you post updates?

 The Luna's Promise

The Luna's Promise

Still, it couldn’t get inside. I breathed heavily, feeling a brief sense of safety inside the hole. I opened my eyes and saw the rough, rocky surface of Stalagtor’s body looming above me. My eyes narrowed as I noticed a crystal core located in the center of its chest, surrounded by its rocky skin. It was well-protected but visible through the cracks in the creature's tough exterior whenever it moved or breathed. This crystal seemed crucial to its survival and its connection to the cave.

The Abandoned Luna's Return

The Abandoned Luna's Return

A sudden, violent tremor shook the room. The monitors on the wall flickered, showing a feed from the edge of the city. The sky was tearing open. Not a digital rip, but a physical rift in the atmosphere. From the rift, a ship began to emerge. It wasn't a spaceship in the traditional sense. It looked like a giant, fossilized insect, miles long, covered in glowing green moss and obsidian armor. It didn't make a sound as it entered our world, but the sheer gravity of its presence caused the glass in the War Room to crack.

Blood unfurled like silk. Heads snapped toward the sound. Time slowed. “ANGEL!” Philip and Louisa froze. Faith surged forward. “I have to help her!” Scott caught her and held on, iron-hard. “Faith—no! You’ll die too!” The thing breached. A long neck whipped from the water, scaled and segmented, ridges jagged as broken armor. Its eyes burned—a hellish red. Between its jaws, Angel hung limp, limbs wrong, ribbons of scarlet trailing.
