The Chosen Bride
That made the people applaud, and when we left the chapel to get into the limousine, they wished us well, threw rice over us as a symbol of prosperity, sang something in Japanese that I couldn't identify, but it brought a kind of smile to Amaya's face.
"Sore wa shinji rarenai yo..." she said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Just that I always heard about weddings, saw movies, and all... But I was never as close to something related to Japan as I am now," she explained, and I smiled at her.
