A Tomb of Mirrors
It slapped its head back on and, turning into a dark mist, whisked me away to the city's heart.
However, as I tried to leave, it snaked a tentacle around my leg. My brow furrowed. What was that about? A problem with the payment?
It tilted its head, looking more menacing by the second, its fangs flashing a warning. I quickly realized it wanted more, so I conjured up a hefty tip, and just like that, the tentacle was gone, and the haunt even cracked a toothy grin.
Go figure.
With a relieved exhale, I dashed for the largest haven in Zephyr City: the government building.
