My Charity Case Wants $50k

My Charity Case Wants $50k

Two fancy letters: VV. Vincci Visconti. No wonder it looked familiar. I looked up at the drama queen losing her mind. Something about her felt weirdly familiar. Every year, our family's education foundation sent us a list of scholarship kids. One name stuck—Sharon Brooke. From some tiny nowhere town in the southwest. Sharon. Yep, her. I remembered the photo—patched-up clothes, shy eyes, barely smiling. Definitely not this designer-clad diva with claws out. "Cat got your tongue?!" she snapped, thinking I was scared.

Misfortunate

Misfortunate

She tutted and asked me why I was worried. " I heard their mom has been taken to a mental institution in Turkey. The news came out after Baaba's birthday three days ago so, I'm sorta worried about being the insensitive person." Rabiah's hiss reached me from the phone and I withheld what I was about to say.

They Missed My Kindness

They Missed My Kindness

[Annie, sorry to bug you again! I bought a box of cherries. Can I leave it with you for a bit?] [Annie, my mom sent some Milano cookies. They're super fragile. Can you set them aside for me? Thanks!] My phone wouldn't stop buzzing. Every message in the pickup station group chat was asking me to hold somebody's package. I logged the new deliveries while replying with quick "Got it" messages. Then Mrs. Warner from Unit 401 sent a voice message, sounding genuinely grateful.

Forceful Marriage: Young Master's Mute Wife

Forceful Marriage: Young Master's Mute Wife

Some people said that their marriage represented the success of an all-trade business empire. ... Every year at the charity party, Mrs. Pang, the sponsor of Furui Charity, was the first to give a speech, introducing the important guests to the auction. When Jessica came out last, the applause in the hall was a few seconds later than the previous ones. It was because half of them had never heard of her, the other half know her for her "absurd". Of course, among the celebrities in the North City, they still remembered the previous Mrs. Ferguson, who had once used tricks to get a promotion, and some people couldn't help but cast their eyes on the Fergusons.

Sharon Suttle
none of the books I'm reading are updating...(3) and will be reluctant to start another,, and 2 that do usually update of the 3 more frequent as the one which is not at all, only allows minimal time to read..less than an actual chapter, they act like its a few when still on same scenario and events.

Dear CEO Ex-Husband, You Had Your Chance!!!

Dear CEO Ex-Husband, You Had Your Chance!!!

“I’m sorry, Mrs. Hamilton. You can fire me later, but I think Desiree deserves to know what happened today at the charity event. At least because it might become sensational news tomorrow.” Desiree’s heart skipped a beat. “Something happened at the charity event? What happened, mom?” Her mum remained silent while glaring at Hugo, so Desiree turned to the chauffeur. “You and I both know she’s not going to fire you, so please tell me what happened at the charity event. Did something happen to my mom?” “The thing is, someone crashed the event and caused a bit of a scene.” Desiree grimaced. “Who?” “She called herself Winter Walters, and she…”

Buried Love

Buried Love

When they were exchanging rings, I heard Mona say lovingly, "I want everyone to know that even if you're an illegitimate son, you're worthy enough to have the real luminous pearl, while all Sean has is a bootleg version of it." I laughed self-depreciatingly. That bootleg version was covered with maggots by now. The very next moment, someone stumbled into the wedding venue and shouted, "Miss Sachman, bad news! Sheila Edwards barged into the cemetery and dug out Mr. Langdon. He… He's dead!"

Buried Debt

Buried Debt

I leaned against the wall and lowered my head to look at my new watch. "What's there to save?" I said. "She can't afford the surgery anyway. I already spent all the family's savings." The doctor froze. Marjorie threw herself at me again. This time she clutched at me even more desperately than before, her nails biting into my skin. There was something chilling about it. "Jason! I'm begging you! I'll work like a dog for you! Please save her! If she loses that organ, her life is over! She's only thirty!"

Mercy for Everyone but Me

Mercy for Everyone but Me

She just needed to wait a little longer. Of course, she didn't have to wait long for the day Price Corporation went bankrupt. It took a long time—far longer than it should have—for her not-so-sharp mind to piece together my role in it all. She broke down immediately. Soon after, the entire Price family crumbled. Embezzlement, tax evasion… There were too many people involved, too many secrets. Arthur's death was something I hadn't anticipated. When I heard the news, the image of Cassandra weeping at her mother's grave all those years ago flashed through my mind. My thoughts spiraled out of control.

She Missed Her Last Chance

She Missed Her Last Chance

She bolted outside and started digging through the bags. I'd planned ahead. Buried her stuff under kitchen and bathroom trash. "Loree, what are you looking for?" Harvey's eyes were red, fists tight like he was holding something back. "Enough, Rowan. You've gone too far. How can you treat her like this? She left your wedding for a bit to save me, and you humiliate her? Do you even love her?" Loree shot me a look. "I really don't get why you're so jealous. I told you what I was doing. Harvey needed me. It was life or death. Can't you drop your drama for once? Why can't you be as understanding as Harvey?"
