Horror claws through me. Suddenly heat sears my insides, as though my body is a furnace. My knees buckle. I grip the tub, gasping. My skin burns, alive with fire, stretching, tearing, as though another self claws from within. Down the hall, Agnes’ voice carries faintly. My senses suddenly alert. It was maybe past midnight, the full moon was up so her skin was itching like it usually did every full moon. She had no idea why, but she had dealt with this itching thing since she could remember. She had been taken to the hospital a couple of times in the past and they said it was nothing, and maybe psychological. “Mom?” She said as she knocked on the front door of the house. She was about to knock again when the door opened, her mom standing there. “Selena…”

After a long, frozen silence, Grant tried to test the waters. "If you like them that much, I'll just have Molly give them to you as a toy..." "Where did you get these?" Pheisar ignored him, snapping his head up to glare at the shaking Molly. "Talk!" "I... I bought them a few days ago," she stammered, sobbing. "From a little shop in the rogue district." Seeing his fangs beginning to show, she forced herself to continue. "I... I just really liked the moon design. So I bought them and wore them..."

Tears squeezed from the corners of her eyes. Her hair lashed her cheeks. The circle of light above shrank. The rim of the cathedral became a thin ring. A stray girl for the altar. Knowing didn’t make it hurt less. The darkness below met her before she could think another word. Impact.

Clouds were drifting across it, hiding the moon again and again. One moment there was the moon, and then it wasn't. Her eyes grew heavy. She was seeing the moon when it suddenly transformed into a silhouette of a woman. Molly shivered and mewled weakly as she realized that the moon hadn't turned into a silhouette— But someone was legit hanging outside her window, trying to get into her room.

Blaze breathed out as he drew close to Molly, the smile was back on his face and I watched as he engulfed her in a hug. “You look breathtaking.” He murmured after breaking out of the hug and Molly grinned up at him, and then she tilted her head. “Oh, yeah?” She drawled and Blaze nodded enthusiastically. “Absolutely. Molly blinked a few times, obviously caught off guard. Color bloomed in her cheeks as she playfully rolled her eyes.
