He hung up the call and I pulled my knees to my body, sitting against a rock, trying to keep warm and awake as the drizzle intensified and turned to rain, rustling the leaves above me.
I must have drifted into sleep because the next thing I knew a cold wolf's nose was poking my cheek. I gasped in shock, practically falling over, and then remembered that it was probably Tyce. He was a huge wolf—bigger than my dad in his wolf form. I couldn't make out what color his fur was except that it was dark, reminding me of a grizzly bear. His amber eyes were more vibrant than usual, glowing, staring into mine. I assumed it must have been his night vision that made them appear that way.
