The world should end on a Monday. There’s something honest about that. Brutal, yes, but clean. A Monday already has the emotional texture of damp socks and unpaid bills, so adding zombies feels less like a cosmic betrayal and more like management escalating a complaint. Unfortunately, the world chooses Thursday at 6:17 p.m., while Maya Rodriguez is standing barefoot in her kitchen, trying to decide whether expired sour cream is a negotiable concept. “It smells fine,” Dex says from behind her.

Kelsey “Why do you insist on going to the gym on Mondays?” I grumbled, tugging on a black tank top to go over my bright green sports bra. Mindy was tying her shoe. “If you skip Monday, then you’ll skip Tuesday, if you skip Tuesday, you’ll skip Wednesday. I died on a Monday. There is not a single good thing about Mondays. You wake up, you end up dragging ass while getting ready. You spend the whole day trying to get back into the “weekday” routine. Nobody wants to be at work. The coffee doesn’t do its job, you’re running behind half the time, and sometimes you die. Or is that just me?

Kansas Monday came around again. But for some reason, this Monday wasn't like the usual Mondays filled with sour faces and a bit of grumbling from the employees feeling bored with the routine. This Monday seemed more chaotic. Claire, walking in from the front door, already noticed how the office boys and cleaning services team were bustling around with their tools in hand. And not only that, even the security guards seemed busy cleaning their guard posts.

Miranda POV Mondays are my least favorite day of the week. Today is especially sucky since I know Joel is going through his parole interview and I am worried about the result.

It was another boring afternoon session. My day ended in school with a blink of an eye and I was utterly tired, I mean who wouldn’t hate Mondays right?
