She then points at the traditional Japanese set meal in front of me and says, “I’ve got you some teishoku breakfast. Quickly eat, we are setting off to the airport in an hour.”
I nod, “Okay.” and I pick up the chopsticks and start to tuck into the breakfast.
For ten minutes, we both ate silently. We did not talk to each other, and we did not look into each other’s eyes.
Whereas suddenly, Jamie speaks, “I had a weird dream. A wet one.”
Her abrupt words cause me to choke myself with some rice, I pat my chest rapidly before I look at her and ask, “W-what?”
Finding me being surprised, Jamie repeats, whispering, “I said, I had a wet dream.”
