A few eyebrows were raised as we entered the war room together wearing our official dark blue and white robes and Olivia overtly pregnant, but no one said anything or looked ready to growl, so I called for a briefing to start us off. It was like a cheap therapy that everyone needed.

The primary server room at Monroe Global was a subterranean cathedral of cold air, low-frequency hums, and pulsing blue LED lights. It was 11:45 PM. I slide the black card into the door, and it opens with a loud click. "I mean it! This is crazy! You cannot just do this!" he yells, kicking his legs in the air. I carry him into the massive living area. The room has giant windows showing all the bright lights of Blood Moon City. There are white leather chairs and fresh flowers everywhere, and a big door leads right to the master bedroom with a huge royal bed. This room was supposed to be his secret meeting place with Noah tonight. The thought makes my blood boil with pure alpha rage.

Meg POV “Luna Mona asked me to bring you up to the Alpha’s quarters,” I said as we all got out of the car. Eve The War Room isn't a smoky backroom filled with men playing poker. It looks like the flight deck of a spaceship crashed into an industrial loft. Located in a nondescript warehouse in the Meatpacking District, the space is dominated by a massive, U-shaped bank of monitors suspended from the ceiling. Beneath them sits a sleek, tempered-glass command table that glows with a faint blue light. The air is frigid, kept super-cooled for the servers humming behind a glass wall, and the air is redolent with the smell of espresso.

After leaving the KSLCC building, Knight didn't go straight home. He put on his sunglasses and changed into the leather jacket that he usually kept in his car.
