He’ll regret every moment he underestimated you. But we do this right. No mistakes, no rushing in blind.” Miranda took a deep, shaky breath, her tears slowing. She wasn’t just a victim anymore—she was a mother, a fighter, and she was ready to reclaim everything Aaron had stolen. “Let’s make him pay,” she said, her voice steady. Alex smiled grimly. “We will.”

Kira’s POV Miranda stepped out of the shadows like she owned the night, heels clicking on the cracked concrete, phone still in her hand, that smug little smirk plastered on her face. The same face I’d seen laughing while I fell off that rooftop. The same voice that had ordered those kidnappers to “have fun with the little bitch before you dump her.” She thought I was still tied up somewhere, screaming, waiting to be broken. She had no fucking clue the tables had just flipped so hard they’d broken.

Before I knew it, he had wiggled his way in next to me; standing a little too close for comfort. Archer growled behind me; I wasn’t sure if anyone else heard it. Mason had all but pushed him out of the way so that he was next to me. “Lovely to meet you; I’m Miranda,” she smiles politely at me. “Hello,” I say. Miranda was around my height and average size but looked a little older, possibly mid to late twenties. She had beautiful curly blond hair, made up of different shades of blonds and light browns. The most amazing hazel-coloured eyes and the kindest smile. Hopefully, she wouldn’t be like most other she-wolfs around here.

She runs the palms of her hands over the skirt of her dress, flattening any wrinkles that form in the fabric. My eyes take their time examining her body. She looks magnificent in her dress. The dark purple color compliments her complexion and it matches her bright green eyes. My breath gets caught in my throat and I have to tear my gaze off of her before she catches me looking. “I’ll get going,” Miranda breathes out. “No!” The word escapes my mouth before I can stop it. We face each other and I have to tell my body to breathe again. “I want a DNA test.”

Miranda straightens up, her eyes gleaming with that sick thrill she gets from this twisted game. “You see, I’ve got a little deal for him. A game, really. And the prize? You. But first, I’ll make sure he watches while I—” She leans in close, her voice low and threatening. “Cut your throat right in front of him.” I don’t flinch. Can’t let her see me crack. “Lysander’s nothing like you,” I spit out, my voice shaking only slightly. “He doesn’t need to make deals with monsters.”

As we hung up, I then put a call into my dear friend, and witch, Miranda. Miranda was a childhood friend of mine. She is a witch with various powers that exceed the traditional witches doing spells. She can identify if magic has been used in a situation, what spells or potions might have been used and a bunch of other things, even I can’t fully understand. I needed to talk to her about what was going on and get her here as fast as possible.

Two large ones moved forward, gripping Miranda's arms as she shrieked. "SHUT UP! WHEN REBECCA GETS OUT, SHE'LL KILL YOU ALL!" Miranda screamed, thrashing wildly. "LET GO OF ME! I WANT THAT OMEGA DEAD! TOM! TOM, SAVE ME!" She turned toward her mate, Elder Tom—who hadn't moved from where he stood near the tree line. But he didn't come. He turned his back on her. And just like that, Miranda Rivera was dragged from the stage, kicking and screaming, her voice slowly fading into the distance.
