Monster Under The Bed Novels & Stories

It was as if there was some kind of a monster behind the door trying to get in. I swallowed hard and slowly locked the door, but I guess I wasn’t as sneaky as I thought because the monster on the other side growled furiously and banged the door so hard that it rattled. I couldn’t help the scream that broke out of me, which made the monster increase his attempt to get in. I left the door and ran to the bed and hid under the covers. What the fuck is this? Is it one of those big wolves? But how did it get in unnoticed?

I made a plan that night to end her. The next night my parents had a big important party with some of my father’s clients from work. I knew that Rose would be over. When she arrived my mother kissed my forehead and left with my father. The sun hadn’t set yet so I asked Rose to go for a walk with me. She agreed and we took off into the woods behind my house. I got ahead of her and then made her think she had lost me. While she frantically looked for me I snuck behind her. I found a large piece of wood and crept up behind her. She heard the brush below my feet break as I approached her and quickly turned around. I then unleashed the Monster inside me. It was brutal and very sloppy. I honestly

“How are you getting something to eat?” “I broke into the candy machine, and the drinking fountain has water.” “Does the monster know you’re in here?” “I dunno, it never comes here.” “Where does it go?” “Sometimes it slides on the street. Sometimes it crawls in the grass.” “What does the monster do?” “It slides and eats stuff. It ate a squirrel. The squirrel tried to get away, but the monster crawled over it, and it was gone.” “Have you been anywhere else downtown?” “I wanted to go to the grocery store, but I’m too afraid. The monster will get me.”

She slide on the ground towards that things who laid dead on the ground, her face worried to see the guy down instead of her own son who overcame this blunder alone. He frowned to see his mother sitting on the ground, caressing the thing’s black hair, but as he bent down to see, he saw a familiar figure lying under his bed, face smashed on the ground and half is his body was still under his bed. The mullet hair on the back of his head seemed way too familiar when his mind suddenly froze, ‘Can’t be,’ and he gazed over the black gloves on his hand which in the dark looked like a spooky pointed hand of some alien was none other than —

"Oh, sweetheart." She rubbed her eyes again and moved closer to me. "I think there's a monster under my bed." "I think she just wants to sleep with you tonight," Orion said from behind me, amusement evident in his voice. I glanced over my shoulder at him. "What makes you think that?" "My nephew and niece do the exact same thing whenever I visit. The moment bedtime comes around, suddenly there are monsters under the bed, strange noises in the closet, or nightmares that only Uncle Orion can protect them from."

It rolled under a bed with a soft thud, and then came a small clanging sound that repeated, and repeated, and repeated, filling the silent room like an alarm. "We have to find where that noise is coming from," Jack whispered, panic edging into his voice. "It's probably under one of these beds." "Okay, Boss." Jack turned his flashlight back on, and he and Mike dropped to their knees, peeking under the beds one by one. The kids in the room started to stir, disturbed by the light and the noise. If they didn't hurry, every child in the room could wake up, and then there would be no explaining their way out of it. Mike was the first to spot it: a wind-up monkey with a yellow and red button vest,

“Mom.” I looked back at him. “I’m listening.” He kept his eyes on the ceiling as he asked the next question. “If I say yes, and we do the test with the guards and everything, can the Paper Monster be locked up?” I looked at him lying there, one hand still tucked beneath the pillow where the drawing waited. The night lamp cast the room in a soft amber glow, making the shadows gentler and, somehow, everything feel a little more survivable. "If the test says what I think it says," I said, "there's a lot of paper that changes. And yes. Some of the monsters get locked up."

In a final fit of rage, he hurled the ceramic plate across the room, watching it shatter into a hundred shards before throwing himself onto the mattress, his belly still growling. In the dead of night, a violent jolt snapped his eyes open. His mind was foggy, his senses disoriented by the heavy shadows of the northern tower. Fumbling in the dark for his device, the screen illuminated midnight. He dragged his heavy limbs out of bed, muttering, “My wolf is starving.” The primal urge for raw meat was driving him mad. He needed to raid the lower cellars, so he crept out of his room, surprised to find the iron locks had been silently disengaged. He descended the grand stone staircase in a rare mo

His eyes are entirely pitch black, and he doesn’t look the slightest bit bothered even as Vanya chokes and sputters, her shaking fingers desperately trying to push his boot off. “I don’t hit women, Vanya. But I fight monsters and crush them because I can. And you…you’re just another breed of monster. The kind that is destined to die by my hands.” She coughs up blood, struggling to breathe. Her eyes are bigger than I’ve ever seen them, bulging in their sockets. She looks…terrified. Slowly, he moves his feet off her throat, and she chokes. I watch as he crouches in front of her, staring at her with a blank look on his face.

Even wrapped in the blankets of my dorm bed, I could feel the burning echo of that moment. But when sleep finally claimed me, it was not the monster I had imagined. It was him. I didn’t know his name. I couldn’t make out his face very well, only glimpses — storm-grey eyes that blazed with lightning fire, the cool pressure of a mouth that grazed against mine with reverence and desire, rough and warm hands that curled around my waist and drew me into him.
