--- Chapter Nine: The Blood Moon Rising The weight of the night was oppressive. The moon, now full and glowing red, hung low in the sky like a judgment, casting long, eerie shadows over the forest. It was a Blood Moon—a rare celestial event that Aria had only heard about in whispered legends. But she hadn’t known how much darker and more dangerous it would feel until it was right above her. She stood on the balcony of Kade’s cabin, her fingers gripping the railing, eyes fixed on the crimson moon. Something about it called to her. It felt as if it was alive, aware, watching her—waiting.

It was a day in the month of June, when all the inhabitants of Havenwoods would come together to celebrate and feast. But when the light of the moon touched me, bathing me in its silver light, I couldn't hold Umbra in any longer. At that same moment, I turned my gaze to Jin who had a wide grin on his face. Oh, did he find this amusing? "It's finally time. I can tell you've been trying to hold it in, but the moon…" He paused, turning his gaze to the moon hanging above us. "The moon is a bringer of transformations. From its lunar phases to its connection to the transformation of every werewolf on the planet. Even the witches rely on the phases of the moon for their magic."

She remained silent while we kept walking until we reached a river, a magical one, for its water glowed an aquamarine color. “What is this? It's my first time seeing a river like this.” Cielo looked up at the moon and the corner of her lips formed a delicate smile. “I think the Moon Goddess was here to take her bath.” “Really?” “Yes, Luna. Once a month when the moon is in full bloom, the Moon Goddess enjoys a cold bath in a river of her choice, and it turns the water magical and glowing for a short period of time.” “Let me wash your hand for you, and your face too. It's still stained with blood,” she said.

I watched her relax and felt a pulse of gratefulness through our bond and all of a sudden whatever I had said was completely worth it. "Thank you, Jasp..." She whispered. Great Mother Moon Goddess her voice was like heaven to my ears. It was the finest melody that had been fine tuned to reach my heart and squeeze. I watched her giggle and noticed that she had been trifling in my mind a second ago. I smiled and began walking closer, "The things you do to me." I say, and she repeats what I said back to me, but with a sultry tone, "The things you do to me~" I stopped dead in my tracks and clenched my fists, if she didn't stop talking like that we would have problems. Big, hard, aching problems.

Stephen smirked. “Yeah you’re right. This place fits me well.” They all talked for a while but now it was getting dark the moon was coming out. “We should probably go inside.” Greg said. “I think the supper’s also ready.” Stephen told. Dara kept on looking at the moon. It seemed as the most beautiful thing she has ever seen. Ellen shook Dara, “Come on honey it’s getting dark and cold.” Dara went inside with her family but she wished to stare at that beautiful thing for a little longer.
