Novel & Cerita Moonbound: The Alpha's Claim

Mates were special, no matter who they were, a gift from the Moon. This changed everything for me. And then I understood Chase’s expression. Shock and disappointment coursed through me. He was staring at Coal in pity. “No!” Alpha roared, jumping to his feet. Hands clenched into fists, his unbridled expression, rage. He took a purposeful step in my direction. Oh shit! Terror coursed through me. Coal yelled, “Stop!” Alpha spun and faced him. “You know this is NOT happening! I don’t give a fuck what the Moon thinks. I am ending this right now!”

Myla said, her hands folded in front of her, gaze fixed on the floor. “And so? You work for me! Cleaning up after my daughter is your job too!” I snapped. Myla flinched, bowing apologetically. “I’m very sorry, ma’am,” she murmured. I rolled my eyes and eased into my seat, crossing my legs. Stretching out a hand, I signaled for her to show me what she had brought. She stepped closer, holding out the iPad with trembling hands. “Alpha Kade is challenging Alpha Callum for the Moonbound Alliance throne,” she began.

Aleron tilted his head. "No." His smile widened. "I took it." The words hit like a stone. Mason muttered, "That’s worse. That’s so much worse." Jonas exhaled. "You’re saying you chose this?" Aleron’s gaze flickered. "Wouldn’t you?" "The bond was fragile. Corruptible. The Alphas turned against each other then just as they are doing now. I simply took control before it could collapse." Lyla’s chest tightened. He sounded so certain.

“Her? Do you think the descendant of the Moonbound will be a female? How do you know that?” Then I realized I had made a mistake. I almost sold myself out with my carelessness. Chuckling, I grinned. “Did I say her? Oh! The pronoun just slipped off my tongue. It could be a her or a him,” I lied. He chuckled. “Well, the Moonbound will be given the Alpha title and every privilege that belongs to the Alpha,” he responded. My eyes widened. “Why is that?” “Being a Moonbound means you are a descendant of the Alpha. It’s only right that the person is made an Alpha too.”

But powerful. Alive. “…I’m not running anymore,” she said. Alexander stepped closer one last time. His voice low. Certain. “You won’t need to.” Outside— The moon shone brighter than ever. Watching. Waiting. Awakening. Far beyond the city— A group of figures stood beneath the moonlight. Watching. Waiting. One of them stepped forward. “…The Moon Blessed has awakened.” Another voice responded. “And the Alpha has claimed her.” A pause. Then— A cold smile.

He didn't get a response, but the lunar dust beneath his feet suddenly swirled, forming a small, shimmering spiral—a Weaver’s knot. The 70th chapter closed on the image of the five fugitives standing on a dead world, looking down at an empire in flames. The "Alpha’s Regret" was a memory. The "Alpha’s Return" had begun. And this time, they weren't just bringing a rebellion. They were bringing the Moon back to the sky.

— Are you suggesting that Mother Moon made a mistake in choosing the Alpha's mate? The question came out with a clear tone of annoyance from the same guy who had complimented her when she left the cabin. Anne simply remained silent, but she couldn't help but notice the small stir of murmurs and concerned glances directed at her. — What should concern us is not that the Alpha's mate is human, — another man who had just arrived said. — What's truly worrisome is that Mother gave our Alpha a weak and sick Luna. Hearing those words used to describe her, Anne recalled all the previous times she had been called the same. Taking a few steps forward, she stared intently at the man, feeling like she k

The doctor and Moon talked for a short while, and he started cutting into her leg and grabbing some pliers to take the bullet out. "My name is Alpha Moon. I am the rightful Alpha of this pack, chosen by my grandfather Alpha Boden. I am sorry I didn’t come here sooner; I wasn’t aware of his decisions until it was too late and Alpha Oskar had already taken over. But I am here now, and things are going to change. Starting with this—" she looked down at the doctor and bit into her lip, trying not to growl at him. I felt whatever she was feeling, and it wasn’t a nice fucking feeling, to say the least. He was poking and prodding inside her leg.

But, considering she was marrying the alpha of our pack, you couldn’t expect any less. The exact alpha–who, until last week–had been my boyfriend for five years. Until last week, I was convinced he was planning to propose and claim me as his mate. Until a week ago, I bared my soul to him while he secretly prepared to choose someone else as his mate, as I wasn’t deemed fit to rule by his side as a luna. “You don’t have a wolf,” his voice cut through my thoughts, resulting in heat pressing behind my eyes. “And you’re too much of a wild card to rule by my side. Sorry, Lana, I hate to say this. You’re not made to be a Luna.”

“It was meant to unlock it.” A cold silence spread through the room. Elena looked toward Ryan. For once, the Rogue Alpha had nothing sarcastic to say. “He wanted the Unbound,” Ryan said quietly. Theron nodded. “Yes.” Damien frowned. “Explain.” Ryan looked down at his hands. “After the Blood Moon ritual, no Alpha command worked on me. No hierarchy. No forced submission.” “And Peter saw that as useful,” Elena realized. “No,” Ryan corrected quietly. His eyes met hers.
