Something unspoken. But the knock on the door spoilt the moment. “It’s time,” a guard announced. I swallowed the lump in my throat and gave Ronan a small nod. “Let’s go” The grand ballroom of the Lunar Citadel was bathed in moonlight—literally. The domed ceiling had been peeled open, revealing the full moon in all her glory as beams of silver light bathed the guests below. Werewolf nobility from every corner of the continent had gathered for the Moongala—a sacred event held once in a generation. The Moon Goddess herself was set to descend and name the next ruler of the High Bloodline.

The room even had the original chandelier and sconces that had been carefully converted by the best craftsmen I could find to use electric bulbs designed to look like gas flames. Moira crossed into the middle of the room and looked up at the ceiling tiles adorned with phases of the moon. They stared for a while before spinning slightly and turning back with a look of excitement. “We need to hold the Moon Maben Ball here. Why haven’t I ever heard of it being in High Valley? This place is so beautiful!”

"Well thanks for helping me out I think I'll be heading to my room soon, you should probably go and spend your time with one of the pretty ladies here at the ball," "But I'm already talking with one of the prettiest ones right now, seems like kind of a waste, don't you think?" Rosa gave him a playful slap on the shoulder, so sure that he was just messing with her. As time passed she felt guilty for keeping him by her side, One of the reasons why the full moon ball was so important was because it wasn't uncommon for many people to meet their forever their mates fated to them by the moon goddess, they say when you meet your mate life and destiny will just naturally keep entangling both of you

A full moon occurs only once a month and it last for about three to seven days" She explained politely and I nodded thoughtfully, realizing that I just found a tutor. "She will need yours and Alpha permission to host the ball" She added which explains why she sent me this letter instead of an invitation right away. I sighs and handed the letter back to her.

What was there to check anyways. I don't have time for news and all. "Look, " he said switching the news channel on the TV. "Don't remind me, yesterday was the first time I saw you in control. Your wolf didn't want to kill him" "Ivan is my childhood friend, I won't kill him. I was just mad" Skylar mumbled. Shailyn poked her arm. "Why are you rouse, pup?" "Do you know what a blue moon is?" She consulted, staring at Shailyn, watched as the fairy nodded. "A red moon represent the rise and fall of the Lycan Alpha King, a blue moon represent the rise of the King's Queen, Luna of all magical creatures" Skylar fluttered her eyes, frowning in complication. "I don't get it"

His eyes were bloodshot and crunchy from the lack of sleep. He sat up slowly, rubbing his eyes. He stretched and yawned extremely loudly. When he got up, he touched his toes and tried to get his muscles warmed up. Today wasn’t just any football game, after all. It was the traditional football game that celebrated the day his ancestors “expelled the vampires” from his town. In Silver City the Full Moon Ball would be taking place. Their swirling, dramatic dances of connection. Stunning gowns and jewelled hair twirling into the arms of white shirted mem. In Cragstone, I wondered if Cillian had held the traditional dance or if mourning was still ongoing.

We bent to read the plaque. "Luna Jessica of the Blood Moon pack, the second of the pack to be Corrupted, victim of the Silver Hands." the plaque read. "Your mother," Mabel told me. She walked to a cabinet I hadn't noticed and got out a round, white rock. It was big enough to fit in the cup of her palms. "Moon rock," she told me. "Harnesses the light of the moon. It captures moonlight, and releases it when the user needs it."
