I'd love nothing more than a good murder thriller right now. I hold the banister as I head downstairs and adjust to the heels. The book and sunglasses are in one hand. I stop at the bottom of the staircase to get my bearings. Moon took me past the pool by turning right after we walked outside via the kitchen exit. I open a pair of double doors beneath the stairs and discover a huge ballroom complete with a built-in bar at one end and a dance floor. Two additional sets of double doors open into this room. Sheer drapes show the pool area outside.

"Are you really going to pretend that you don’t know what I’m talking about?" Frowning, I tried to consider what exactly it was that I could have possibly done. However, before I could come up with anything, feedback filled the area, drawing everyone’s attention towards the front of the room where an emcee stood taking in all that gathered. "WELCOME TO THE FULL MOON BALL!" He boomed, spreading his arms wide. "I AM PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE ARE FIVE MINUTES AWAY FROM OUR MAIN EVENT!" As the man spoke, a large curtain began to rise, revealing a wall made of glass that gave the perfect view of the fancily decorated garden behind the mansion and the bright moon that shone above.

The ballroom's high ceiling was adorned with crystal disco balls, and diamond coated chandeliers. On one end of the room was the music area, where a live orchestra played. Glass clinked in the air, ball gowns swooped and swirled, feet made slight taps with every move. The scent of opulence was very prevalent in the royal ballroom.
