The lyrics burned my throat. I looked at my reflection in the disturbed pool...shattered, fragmented by the ripples I’d created. I was the moon, casting light that wasn't mine, cooling my heels in the garden while the sun...Lucen, burned bright for someone else. I remembered seeing him earlier, the way he hovered over that other omega. The casual intimacy of it had been the final, sharp shove that sent me over the edge of the terrace and into the dark garden.
