It was almost midnight; sullen clouds covered the brightest moon, streetlights flickered in a very long interval– making the back alley to wrap in a creepy vibe. Just then, stray cats hissed, their serene feline face contorted into an open-mouthed sneer showing their sharp canine teeth as their ears flatten, back arches and tail straightened out in a fluffy plume. Afraid of the person trespassing their territory.

Looking down, I saw four golden paws, almost the same color as my hair, just shinier somehow. I looked over at Nadia, or should I say Midnight. It is extremely rare that a female wolf is black, but Midnight is, more or less. The Midnight blue was so dark it looked like black with a silver glow. She looked amazing. Then I heard her. “My children. Finally, you find your true form. I am proud of you both.” The Moon Goddess told Dawn and Midnight, who both bowed. The moon goddess then laid a hand on each of our heads, and then she disappeared. And before I got to think of it, I felt my body cracking, and I stood on my two feet.

POV: Aria I didn’t mean to fall asleep. Not really. But sometime after midnight, when the house finally went quiet and Maya stopped rattling in the kitchen like a gremlin, exhaustion dragged me under. When I opened my eyes again, the room was silver with moonlight. And something was calling me. Not a voice. Not a word. Not even a sound. Just pressure. Soft. Steady. And on the other side, draped in a sleek silver fitted jumpsuit, with a long cloak that matched the colors of her white hair and hazel eyes was Luna Athena, with her big black cat nestled in her hand. Luna Athena held her crested black cat against her lap like a queen cradling a crown. The feline purred softly, eyes gleaming like coals as the Luna’s smug smile curled wider. “The girl you have arrested in the dungeon is a threat, Alpha. We all felt what happened as she woke from the dead.” one elder barked.

As they walked, the growling grew louder, and Emilia could feel the ground shaking beneath her feet. Suddenly, a massive wolf emerged from the shadows. Its eyes glowed with an unnatural intelligence, and its fur seemed to ripple with dark energy. Emilia gasped, her heart racing with fear. "What is that?" Emilia asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Liam's expression turned grim. "That's a Shadow Wolf," Liam said. "They're a legendary breed, said to be born from darkness and chaos." Emilia's eyes widened, her mind racing with questions. "What does it want?" Emilia asked.

The forest was quiet, the moon was high in the sky, casting a soft light over the trees. Rafaele led the way, behind him walked Rain, Damien, Prince Tobias, and the palace werewolves. Evena and two other witches followed them silently. They had been searching for hours. “There’s a scent,” Damien said, stopping. “I think it’s Luna Rosa.” Rafaele turned. “How fresh?” “Not more than ten minutes,” Damien replied.

Then the clouds came. The second the sun was hiding behind the clouds, the loudest shriek Liam had ever heard in his life erupted from behind him. He turned, but he was too slow. A figure in a black cloak had grabbed him and lifted him a solid foot from the ground. It’s hands were cold, clammy, and strong. Liam struggled to breathe, crying out in pain. He could feel his neck being crushed under the weight of this...creature’s...strength, and he kicked and struggled as hard as he could. Liam could hear the sounds of the townsfolk fleeing, knocking over chairs and each other to get away from the cloaked figure. Liam took a second to look into it’s eyes, determined to see who was attacking him.

When I was sure everything was locked I sat on the couch of the living room taking deep breaths to calm my nerves. "Are you okay?" With a scream, I looked at Olivia. she was looking at me with concern on her face. I shook my head giving her a small smile, "Yes, I was just outside and saw a cat." She nodded and passed me a glass of water, I took it mumbling a thank you. "You should not go out at this hour," she said sternly, "especially today, it is a special moon." I put the glass back on the table and stared at her with a frown, "What are you talking about grandma?"

This was too unbelievable! Ming Yue caught the black cat and gazed upon those golden eyes. "Who are you? Why are you calling me your lady?" 'Eh? My Lady doesn't recognize me? Why?' The black cat mused, staring at the confused Ming Yue. "My Lady, you don't remember This Ling Mao?" The cat asked, its eyes started to glittered with tears.
