Alpha

Alpha

He moved like a snake, striking and vanishing, drawing blood from Kael’s side. Luna ran toward the nearest injured guard, dragging him to safety before turning back. Kael slammed Dren against a tree, biting into his shoulder until blood gushed. But Dren laughed. “This isn’t over, Alpha,” he hissed, and with one final swipe, he vanished into the night. --- Kael stood panting, blood dripping down his ribs. Luna ran to him, touching his side, her voice thick. “Let me help you.” He shook his head. “I’m fine.”

letters that staved

letters that staved

🌠 Unfolding Part 47—the chapter where letters once tucked away begin to connect strangers like threads across different hearts. The studio is no longer just a haven. It’s becoming a collective voice—full of whispers that want to become conversations, and truths that have waited their turn to be received.

Vampire on Fire

I am writing this letter so I can inform you that I’ll be waiting inside with the teacher. Ps: Tell your family that I wish them a cheerful holiday. Best regards, August, I finished reading the letter and examined the circled and capitalized words. I was able to understand the cryptic letter since Raverine had studied its structure and codes already. The “May” was intentionally capitalized but that doesn’t mean that the letter was written in May. Rather…

The letter came on a Tuesday in November. It was longer than the previous ones — Nadia was sixteen now, and sixteen produced longer letters than fifteen, the way sixteen produced longer everything. The directness was the same. The questions were different. Dear Mr. Voss and Mr. Rhys,

His contract Bride, His secret child

His contract Bride, His secret child

I stood in the hallway with the letter in both hands and felt something move through my chest that was not quite relief and not quite joy but existed in the territory between them where the things you have been carrying alone for a very long time go when someone finally helps you put them down. Noah was going to see Dr. Okafor. Six weeks not eight months. Everything covered. I pressed the letter briefly against my chest the way I pressed Noah against my chest when the fear got too large, using the physical reality of something solid and true to anchor myself in the present moment. Then I read the last paragraph again. A foundation representative will be in contact to discuss the program in d

I read it quickly. Dear Dean, I'm sorry to write you this letter. My pack isn't safe anymore. The news about who I am is out and I will be hunted to the ends of the earth. I can't put you or anyone else at risk so I'm running. No pack would be strong or safe enough. I would die if I caused you or your pack harm. I wish things were different but this is my reality and I must make the right choice. Please find someone else that will make you happy that will be a good Luna for your pack. Please let me go.

This was a fantastic story! Well written, flowed well, and loved the different POVs. Definitely had some twists and turns throughout with a few sad moments, but also had some beautiful, loving moments as well. Also happy with the epilogue & how it tied everything together. Nicely done author! 😊

They will know it is safe to return. Please keep safe. All my love, Queen Brandt My mind is overflowing with the information once I finish reading the letter. “What does it say?” “We need to move, now. I want to make sure everything is in order and we have what we need. How do we close the portal?” I demand as I pocket the letter, pull the folders from the desk, and make my way out of the cubby on the floor.

However, because she was too focused on the mission, she immediately crawled up and grabbed the documents in the middle of the table. "Oh? What is this?" Sky tilted her head, examining the letters carved into the center of the desk. "It's like a winding road, perfect for the adventurous me. That means, it's the letter S for Sky." She traced the letter with her finger. "Then, this is the letter K for koala. And this is the letter Y for yeay!" Sky raised both hands, imitating how someone would cheer. A second later, she returned to focusing on the letters.

Just like the other readers. I cried so much because of the father & daughter. It's saddening but also heartwarming. It's a great book. . I enjoyed Ed, Alice & Sky's adventure Now, looking forward to Sky, Louis & Emily's own adventure.

Finished this sweet and relaxing story. Ed really behaved like a dick so his motive doesn't hold up. Sometimes a bit too elaborate so I skipped a bit but Sky is no doubt a marvelous kid. I was curious about Alice's mindset which was not really explained but Sky made up a lot. Worth reading!

Replaced? No, I Moved On

Replaced? No, I Moved On

On day ten of our cold war, Barry posted a pic—him and Lyla, locked in a kiss. His 'one true love.' I sent in my study abroad application without a word. At our grad party, he strolled in with Lyla, fingers laced with hers, looking at her with all his affection. A friend hesitated. "But what about Amelia? She loves you. You guys are getting married." Barry smirked. "She was just a stand-in. Now that Lyla's back, my fiancée should change too." So I slipped off the ring, handed it over, and disappeared. And he lost it. Tore through everything trying to find me. Years later, he finally did. Saw me with my husband, picking out baby supplies. His eyes went red. "Amelia, come back
