Camela tightened her grip on his sleeve as she glanced at the library in fear. “They’re…whispering,” she muttered. Vincent nodded and squinted his eyes, trying to get a clear sight of something that had caught his attention “These are not just books; they’re memories…buried and forgotten ones,” he whispered Suddenly, a book fell from the shelf beside them with a loud thud, and its cover burst open with blood seeping from its pages. Camela’s stomach churned as the words bled onto the paper and dripped on the floor, forming letters that ran red and shaped themselves into words that weren’t written in just ink anymore.

Never told her that either. My fingers fumble, but after a minute, the lock clicks. The door creaks open, and a musty smell hits me, mixed with something weird, like a storm’s coming. Inside, it ain’t storage—it’s like some old tomb. Stone walls, shelves stuffed with dusty books, strange symbols scratched into the floor. A table in the middle has a glass case, and inside, something glows red, like a hot coal. My wolf goes crazy, claws tearing at my brain, begging me to get closer.

Yet she kept riding the late train. On Friday afternoon, something strange happened. She slipped into her favorite little bookstore after work, seeking distraction among the dusty shelves. Unlike the endless library, this place contained no books. Only mirrors. Hundreds of enormous mirrors. Each taller than a castle gate. Each covered by white cloth. The stranger walked toward the nearest one. His footsteps echoed strangely, as though another person walked beside him.

The cover wasn't a normal paperback but it was something I couldn't understand what it was. I held the big book that was very heavy and lifted it to look at the cover well with my eyes squinted. “That's human skin," Heremuah said and I jumped because I didn't think that someone was there with me and I didn't hear him come in. “Heremuah? Oh, you scared me. I didn't see you come in. Did those two get home alright?" I asked as I held my chest with one hand the Grimoire on the other hand and it almost fell.

Amnisty greeted them with a smile on her face making her cute chubby cheeks popped out. “Thank you,” Clandes replied cheerfully while Mauvais responded with a low voice. “Clandes.” All of them turned to Amavus who just went out of his room. He was bringing a book, My Journey Beyond My Imagination. The cover was removed. Clandes’ eyes widened and she came closer to him immediately to get the book but Amavus threw the book to the fireplace. “Honey!” Tina exclaimed, she didn’t know what was book all about.

I’m the only student in the entire university who’s allowed to just take these books off the shelf, and the strange library knows that. The library has the same kind of magic as my cousin Kenna’s castle in Veiled Valley. It’s alive. I turn with a tome about magic communication in my hand and watch hundreds of books zooming in a spiral against the turns of the staircase at the center of the library, sorted by magic. But as I pick through the racks back to my usual table, I spot someone else there. “Oh, thank the Goddess,” I rush out, slamming my book down in front of Georgia, who jostles at the noise, choking on her iced coffee.

Roy nodded absentmindedly, vision frolicking over the shelves with beginners interest. "Want to check out some books? Let me help you." Jeremy pulled out a white and black designed tiny, thin book from the compactly stocked shelf and waved it at Roy. Roy saw Jeremy coming over with a book and caught it's cover design.
