I asked and facepalmed. “She is, Alpha. She has been mute since birth and still is.” They said I frowned. Why was the moon goddess so cruel? A thick chest bloomed from bark, and a head crowned with thorned vines bent down slowly to face us. “What in the name of the goddess…” Muzan gasped. Seven feet tall, with eyes made of moss and a growl that sounded like creaking wood under pressure. Its skin…if you could call it that, was bark laced with green veins, flexing as it stepped forward, shaking the ground with every step.
