Damon helped me set it up while the twins bounced impatiently nearby. “You sure this thing won’t take off?” he joked. I smiled. “If it does, we’ll chase it.” When I switched it on, the yard filled instantly with bubbles — hundreds of them, glimmering and floating, catching the light like tiny planets. Lyra gasped. Elara clapped. Their laughter burst out of them like it couldn’t be contained.

“Just… just leave me alone.” Glancing to the side, I saw a little girl in a purple tutu, creating bubbles from her pink bubble maker toy, giving me an innocent smile. I felt the moisture on my palm grow and expand, slowly but surely.

I gave myself a high five in my mind because I answered it without stammering but saying I only like books was not actually a good idea. I sighed and shook my head slightly at my dear boring life. I asked in panic. "No baby it's just-" "Oh my god!" I exclaimed looking at my belly. It looked like a stretched out balloon and the bump was.. gone! "Bright! Where the hell is Bubble?!" I yelled asked. Bright pinched at the bridge of his nose looking at me with a smile. "Bubble is in an incubator. He's a premature." he said. "Wait. I gave birth to Bubble??" I asked and Bright just stared at me with the face 'isn't it obvious silly?'.

I pour in the soap and watch the bubbles rise and spread. “I’m counting,” he calls out. “Ten. Nine…”
