the head warrior signaled, noticing that even one of his companions hesitated to attack me. Who would bother attacking a mere omega? Another warrior sighed and shook his head. "Omega..." He chuckled, looking me up and down. "What do you want to receive, Omega? A punch? Or a kick?" I didn't answer, I simply bowed. My action made it difficult for the warriors to harm me. To them, I was like a flimsy piece of paper that would fly away with a single blow. Nala remained hidden within the depths of my mind, unwilling to assist me.

All around me are other recruits, not just my fellow newbies, and the ones who no longer need mentors have paired off with one another for combat practice. At the front of the room is Oscar, one of the few non-demon instructors at the Academy according to Tobias. He’s been a Wolf Witch for a thousand years, older than anyone else here apparently, and his drill sergeant attitude makes him almost as intimidating as Atlas himself. Emphasis on almost… which brings me to why combat training is my least favorite class of them all, even more so than dark magic training. Can you blame me, considering I have to spend an hour a day in even closer quarters with him than outside in the training yard? I

"Run!" Dark shapes lunged from the trees—rogue Alphas, sent by whoever wanted the Silvermane bloodline erased. I threw myself at them, claws out, fangs bare. An Omega against three Alphas. It was suicide. A boot slammed into my ribs. I hit the ground. A silver blade swept toward my face. I closed my eyes. So much for this life. Clang. The ring of steel on steel. I opened my eyes. Kael Blackthorn stood over me, sword locked against the rogue's. His face was carved ice. He didn't look at me. He pushed past and strode toward Elara.

She was the only pack member that could help, and who I also trusted enough to keep this secret. I would have preferred Charlie of corse, but she was just an omega. If I was hurt badly enough, Alpha would have to let us meet. I looked around the room before my eyes settled on the small envelope opener Alpha had laying on his desk. I frowned, realizing what I had to do.

Being the best basketball player he was, he could easily slip himself through the hordes of overcrowded students till he reached the school's gate. He was known as the "infamous" Ace of the school's basketball team, due to his tardiness and delinquency as both a student and an Alpha werewolf.

Blood Oath Academy never truly saw morning. The fractured moon dimmed and brightened in endless cycles, but the sky remained suspended in that strange edge between night and something almost like day. Below him, the lower training grounds were empty. The wolves would arrive soon. He should have been preparing for drills, for rank discipline, for the thousand small things expected of the heir to the Lunar Dominion.

He said gutturally. With every strength in me, I freed myself from his hold and as if Casper predicted that, he released me willingly. "You seem to forget a lot of times too that although I have Omega abilities, I have alpha blood in me. You are not my boss!" "I am if you're on my land." He growled. "That won't be for long." I breathe heavily. "You won't." He muttered. "Okay." I said simply. Any sane person would know that it means I've made up my mind already. All caution of how dangerous it was for me flew away.

A sharp kick to my face sent me sprawling backward. My eyes burned as sand and dirt scraped against them. I gasped, my hand flew straight to my bleeding nose. “Who is your Luna?” Cynthia sneered. “I am no Luna to a useless omega.” I trembled, my body screaming in exhaustion. “Please, ma… I didn’t do anything. I am just a lowly omega.” She squatted and yanked my hair up with her fingers, dragging it so hard I felt my scalp pulling out, “An Omega that's mated to my man, my husband!” she hissed in anger before pushing my head back, “You're not innocent Omega, Daphne. Like I said earlier, I have heard about you!”

ELIAS'S POV The applause faded. The auditorium settled into tense silence. Everyone waiting to see what happened next. Then someone in the middle section stood up. A student I didn't know. Alpha. Third year maybe. "This is wrong," he said loudly. "Omegas don't belong here. They're weak. Unstable. Can't handle the pressure. The Academy should be Alpha only." Murmurs of agreement from some students. Others immediately shouting disagreement. "They proved they can handle it!" someone yelled back. "Did you not hear anything they just said?"

Of course, they took soldiers from this academy, where they could find great fighters. "Those with wolves, stand on one side. Those without, on the other." Logan commanded. The girls spread out, all the she-wolves moving to one side while the witches gathered on the other. I stood in the middle, dumbfounded. The teacher looked at me and raised a brow in question. I cleared my throat. "I’m an Omega, sir. I don’t have a wolf." "Omega?" He looked surprised. What? Had an Omega never attended the Royal Academy before?
