Nothing about it was fair any more. These past few years Jane had begun to accept the fact that she wasn't one of the Waleskis. And she had started writing a book called the Unfair Life of Jane, Plain, and Short. It wasn't a real book, just a list of experiences and even that made Jane wonder whether the universe had something in the particular against her. For example:

The title, engraved in handwritten letters like an intimate confession, was simple and revolutionary: “To Live.” Maeve held the copy between her hands, seated at the signing table in the bookstore she had chosen with deliberate care. Not the largest, not the most famous, but the one where, at seventeen, she had bought her first poetry book on a rainy afternoon, escaping home to avoid her mother’s acidic comments about her school essay. There was something circular about that choice — the girl who had sought refuge in other people’s words was now offering her own as shelter.

“Since you’re back, are you going to pick the next book?” I blinked. “Me?” “Of course,” she said, smiling. “You’ve been gone. You deserve the honor.” Everyone nodded expectantly. I looked down at the stack of books on the table, my fingers brushing across their covers. My hand paused on a novel about love, identity and societal expectations. This book will give them a glimpse of what I passed through during my absence. I smiled softly. “How about this one?” Brent groaned. “Oh no, not another depressing tragedy. Can’t we read something with a hopeful romance?”

Looking around, I saw that there's a lot of bookshelves around here, plus a bean bag area for the people who prefer to read their books here. How amazing is this place! So warm and cozy. My mom would be happy to be here. I proceeded to the Fiction Section, it is my favorite genre ever since. While looking for a good book to read, there's this book that caught my attention, it absolutely doesn't belong in this category. It was at the back of all the books in here. Maybe others were just too lazy to put it back on its designated shelf. The book was entitled: How To Save A Life. It was about a girl who had her heart broken by a jerk, started rebuilding herself, but decided to end her life after

Only good thing about all of this was, she had a whole month to write the essay, so she can research and find her words. Just like this, the bright day turned into dark night and librarian came to her, to remind her, that it was the time for the library to be closed. Sia sighed and got up to leave, but didn't forget to place every book back in its place. She guess, she will have to come again the next day and continue her quest to find the real meaning of life in someone else's words.

According to grandma, who I still call from the phone, she'd sneakily sent me for my last birthday; it was one of mom's passions as well. I was so engrossed in what I was doing that I didn't hear the door open. I didn't realize she was there until the book was ripped out of my hands and thrown across the room. It hit the wall hard and slid down to the carpeted floor with a soft thud.

I said. "So today is the day where you publish your newest book and it's called The Real Deal. Can you tell us briefly what it is about?" The MC asked and I smiled nodding. "Well.. I don't want to spoil anything but it's based on my own love life. I wrote this book for my boyfriend, Ares, just to thank him for everything." I said and I turned to see Ares standing beside my dad. He smiled widely at me and I turned to the audience again nervously.
