With gratitude in her heart, she eagerly swam away to find a safe place for her new treasure. Madissa bobbed excitedly, eager to introduce Joe, Bryan, and Nerissa to the first set of twins in the family. She swiftly swam off, leading the way, and the others followed her. They soon arrived at a pair of young merlings - a merboy with a midnight blue tail adorned with bright blue bioluminescent specs and a mergirl with a modest dress, whose deep amethyst tail shimmered with rose gold bioluminescent specs and holographic tips.

The butterfly fled away as the little pup slowly whimpered, trying to escape from us. Blue growled, warning not to move as the small one stared at us with wide eyes. We could see confusion running in its mind at top speed as we waited for it to shift back to the human form. 'Not a witch.' Blue mumbled in my mind. 'How are you sure?' I asked. 'Sparkle said.' I hummed, thinking the wolf's name was Sparkle. So it was a She. Blue kept long strides towards the pup as it started shivering while looking at us like we were some threat. Then it ran.

Twilight answered, ironically. Karim looked at him, annoyed. This raven was too much into his vision. "Beware of talking bird, if not, I can put you in the pot in a second." he threatened, showing his teeth. "Hunf." Twilight said, turning his face. " But, nonsense, threaten a raven as important as me. And anyway, I’d be delicious to eat. But you couldn’t hold me in a pot, after all, your children’s magic can’t compare to my lord’s magic."

As Eleanor and I ventured deeper into the heart of the forest, an unnatural darkness began to blanket the sky. The air grew colder, and an ominous silence settled around us. We quickened our pace, knowing that time was running out. Back in Silverwood Falls, chaos reigned. Gabriel Blackwood, in a desperate bid for power, had unleashed a devastating spell. The town was engulfed in a swirling vortex of dark energy, the sky crackling with unnatural lightning. Buildings trembled, and the very ground beneath the townsfolk's feet seemed to pulse with malevolent force. People ran through the streets in panic, their cries of fear echoing through the night.

I stood at the doorway, watching her, trying to etch the moment into my memory. “Do you know how to play with dolls?” she asked suddenly, turning around. I blinked. “Uh… not really but I’m a fast learner.” She giggled and held up two plush unicorns. “You be Sparkle. I’ll be Luna.” I sat down on the rug, legs crossed, and took the unicorn from her. “Okay, Sparkle reporting for duty.”

They gathered in the living room Pierce, Rosa, Abel, Marcus (who refused to be sent away), and Morgana. The witch had arranged items in a circle on the table: candles, crystals, a small bowl of water, and what looked like herbs wrapped in twine. "I'll need the object," Morgana said. Rosa handed over the unicorn with trembling hands. "Her name is Sparkles. Elena's had her since she was three." Morgana placed Sparkles in the center of the circle and lit the candles. The flames flickered. "Everyone needs to be quiet," Morgana instructed. "I'm going to try to establish a connection. Mrs. Blackwood, I need you to focus on your daughter. Think about her. Feel her presence. Call to her with your he

I sat up, blinking sleep away, and frowned at the noise. Scratch. Scratch. Click click. Like claws. Tiny claws. I wrapped my blanket around my shoulders and opened the bedroom door. The spark stood in the hallway. Except it was not floating anymore. It had legs. Six tiny shimmering legs made of crystalline frost that clicked softly against the wooden floor. A small glowing body pulsed at the center, flickering white and blue like a miniature lantern. Two little sparks above its head flashed like impatient eyebrows. I stared. It stared back.

Everyone that was in the kitchen came out into the living room so the little ones can open their gifts. I hand Carrie her present from Dom and Connie, Shelbie and Frankie, Dom's parents and Jason, Will and I. Dom and Connie bought her an outdoor slide; Shel and Fankie got her a bear and a tiger stuffed animals; Jason, Will and I bought her a plastic tea set, an elephant stuffed animal and a purple dress with white tights. Her Grandparents bought her a swing set to go along with Dom and Connie's present. She got her swing set earlier this week from them. Tyler and Taylor received theme legos from all of us; they are big into those right now and that's all they wanted. They also got the s

Paige warned the other woman, who only giggled and sent the other woman a flirty wink. "Don't worry, dear, I got it all under control!" Cordelia wore a relaxed smile on her face as she whipped out a gold wand, and at the tip was an amethyst crystal rose. "Fifth-tier Light Spell: Piercing Rays!" A spell circle appeared above the creature, and from it, beams of light rained down, piercing the beast in various spots. Not wasting any time, the second Paige triggered her gun, a bullet flew out, only to turn into a tornado of wind that finished the creature off. With the beast's life force extinguished, Paige released a breath of relief.

I wondered why. “Of course they only come out at night,” replied a guy on the other side of the room. “Sunlight burns ’em up.” “No, it doesn’t,” a girl countered. “But sunlight makes their skin sparkle, which gives them away.” I had to work hard to stifle a laugh at that last comment. The girl was clearly a Twilight fan. Sparkling vampires are not something I’ve ever seen or heard of in the real world.
