Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

A library of silence. They chose a valley on the edge of the settlement, a place where the sounds of the community were naturally softened by the surrounding hills. Here, they did not build anything. Instead, they invited Pattern architects and gardeners to collaborate. Together, they cultivated the Quiet Garden. It was not a park. It was a living archive. Simple, smooth stones were placed along winding paths, each stone containing the complete, data-filed story of a being or a world that had chosen the Final Pattern. Their stories were not lost; they were preserved in their chosen state of still, logical perfection.

When A Quiet Woman Snaps

When A Quiet Woman Snaps

A quiet woman, once she snaps—she can burn it all down. --- I slid into the silver Bentley and drove straight to the private pier. In the passenger seat: a goodbye letter, a pill bottle, and a crumpled ultrasound report. Three tiny heartbeats, clear as day. No one knew I was pregnant. I didn't tell Jackson. To him, I was just another thing to control. He wouldn't care about the babies either. I sat on the bench, sea breeze slicing through me. Shivering, I popped the cap off the bottle and tipped one pill into my palm.

The Secetary’s Secret Marriage

The Secetary’s Secret Marriage

Chapter 115 - Quiet Romantic Alina’s POV The house was unusually quiet. The kind of quiet that makes your heart beat faster, not slower. I sat on the sofa, my hands resting gently on my growing belly. The babies were moving a little, tiny kicks that made me smile despite the tight knot of worry in my chest. I had wanted to feel happy today, but the thought of anything going wrong wouldn’t leave me.

The Child of Stillness

The Child of Stillness

Too quiet for a place where legends once screamed. A young man walked alone through the upper halls. His steps didn't echo. They never did. The tower swallowed sound like it feared being overheard by something older than time. Bookshelves lined the walls, some untouched for years. Paintings of dead men stared down at him— some kings, some murderers, some both. He didn't stop for any of them. He paused only once—before a fireplace. Above it hung a sword. Thin. Sharp. Cold steel with veins of violet running through the blade.

Quiet Reign

Quiet Reign

The morning sun broke over the city skyline, casting a warm, golden glow across the floor-to-ceiling windows of Selah Monroe’s penthouse. The space was a masterclass in quiet luxury—minimalist, expansive, and entirely devoid of the loud, gold-leafed ostentation favored by the families she had encountered the night before. There were no flashing logos, no imported marble statues designed solely to impress guests. Instead, there was the smooth warmth of bespoke walnut floors, the subtle texture of raw silk drapery, and a silence that Selah had paid millions to secure.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Still nothing. Reasonable honestly. Then she found Peanut. God. The usual suspect. Fair. Sitting quietly. Reasonable. Very quietly. God. Too quietly. Fair. The dangerous quiet. Reasonable honestly. Then Lily crouched down. God. Very seriously. Fair. Then: "Peanut." Reasonable. Pause. God. "Where is my sketchbook?" Fair. Silence. Reasonable honestly. Then Peanut blinked. God. Once. Fair. Twice. Reasonable.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

Dead Weight

Dead Weight

Quiet is not the same as peace. Maya knows this because the base is quiet in at least twelve different unhealthy ways. There is the quiet of people pretending not to talk about her. The quiet of people very much talking about her behind water tanks, curtain walls, laundry lines, and one suspiciously philosophical stack of bean crates. And then there is the quiet Eli Carrasco carries with him. That one is different. That one does not push. Which is, frankly, rude.

All I Ask Is a Quiet Life

All I Ask Is a Quiet Life

Eventually, they fell silent. Celeste sensed a sharp gaze occasionally landing on her amid the silence. She turned to meet Terence's eyes in the rearview mirror. He looked at her oddly. Then, he looked away. Guests milled about at the venue. Terence entered the hall with Winona on his arm. He deliberately left Celeste behind as he carefully shielded Winona. He introduced her to everyone he knew and pulled out her seat for her, leaning close to her as he explained the rules of the match to her.
