A soft breeze comes from the temple entrance, and then the mystics are gone, turning to little puffs of mist. A chill snakes up my spine as I turn back to the temple. Now or never.

She was not thinking of escaping at this time, but she wanted to wipe out those people in one fell swoop. “I don’t know either. I haven’t tried it,” Alex answered. “It’s just the right time for you to try it.” “Alright! You will take the white ones, and I’ll take the black ones. Act according to changing circumstances in the woods. We’ll split the loot in half.”

I was flogged a hundred times for making a laughingstock out of the future king. He has all the say in the palace, so I knew better than to cross him. Anyway, that was all the thing of a past now. I just have to wait a few more months and I will finally be able to spread my wings! My life-long dream of becoming the member of the Mystic Muses was about to reach fruition. Mystic Muses was a sect mostly comprised of female descendants of another minor deity, Lilith. They followed her ways and in order to honor her name, they only accepted maiden with the highest honor. In layman's term, only virgins were allowed.

“Messenger! Chosen One!” My stomach twisted. So that was why. Because of those damn rumors. Because they thought the Goddess had chosen me. Chosen me for what, exactly? I didn’t even know. The thought filled me with both fear and anger. I walked faster. “Messenger!” the woman shouted again, her voice rising in pitch. “Give me guidance! Don’t reject me!” Something in her tone sent a chill down my spine. Every instinct I had screamed danger. I broke into a run.

"Any idea what else made the crystal choose me?" "Crystalis," Salax yawned. Who was Crystalis? "Your power attracted me to you. When you found and returned me, I knew you were the one." A disembodied voice replied. Seconds later, the apparition of a purple haired, silver eyed, pale girl appeared before me.

Jayden blurted out in anger. Staring at him with a blank expression, Rex kept mute until Jayden sat back down with a vicious anger. "As I was saying,” He kept on. "Jaylen is the Moon Goddess chosen Alpha. He is the Moon Goddess Choice and any attempt to go against this would result to the destruction of us all. And I don't think we want that—“ Jayden growled attempting to jump at Rex, but he got beaten to it by his twin brother. "No way! No way this is really happening!" Jaylen stood up with rage.
